A. EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS CHECK (EOC) (LENNOX PROVIDED) THROUGH BGWS

• TEST ALL LENNOX EQUIPMENT BASED ON THE STANDARD LENNOX EOC REPORT.• CONTACT LENNOX SUPPORT WITH ANY EQUIPMENT DEFICIENCIES AND COORDINATE REPAIROR REPLACEMENT AS NECESSARY TO ASSIST IN PROVIDING OPERATIONAL EQUIPMENT PRIORTO OPENING DATE.• DISTRIBUTE COPIES OF EOC REPORT AS REQUESTED BY LENNOX.

B. TEST AND BALANCE (TAB) (MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR CONTRACTED)

• UPON ARRIVAL TO THE SITE, INSPECT MECHANICAL SYSTEM AND NOTE ANY DEFICIENCIESTHAT COULD PREVENT PROPER OPERATION AND/OR BALANCING OF THE MECHANICALSYSTEM TO THE OWNER, GENERAL CONTRACTOR AND MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR.• INSPECT ALL MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT FOR PROPER INSTALLATION PER MEP DESIGN.• TEST ALL MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT PER NEBB STANDARDS FOR AIR BALANCE FOR PROPEROPERATION.• THE BALANCING OF THE MECHANICAL SYSTEM WILL BE PERFORMED TO MEET NEBBSTANDARDS UNLESS SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED OTHERWISE, IN WRITING, BY OWNER OROWNERS ENGINEERING FIRM.• BALANCE ALL RTU’S, GRILLS, REGISTERS AND EXHAUST FANS PER MECHANICAL DESIGN ASNOTED ON MEP DRAWINGS PER NEBB STANDARDS FOR AIR BALANCE.• GENERATE A FIELD REPORT OF ANY OUTSTANDING MECHANICAL DEFICIENCIES, IF ANY, THATCOULD NOT BE RESOLVED DURING THE TAB VISIT AND DISTRIBUTE A COPY TO THE OWNER,GENERAL CONTRACTOR AND MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR AND NOTE IF A RE-VISIT WILL BEREQUIRED.• GENERATE A COMPLETE TAB REPORT AND SUBMIT TO THE OWNER AND AS DIRECTED WITHINONE (1) WEEK OF THE COMPLETION OF THE AIR BALANCE.

C. CONTROL INSTALLATION (BGW SUPPLY CONTRACTED CONTROL CONTRACTOR)

• PROVIDE CONTROL INSTALLATION DRAWINGS SHOWING CABLE RUNS ANDLOCATIONS.• PROVIDE AND TERMINATE PLENUM CABLE FOR LENNOX PROVIDED THEROMOSTATS,HUMIDITY SENSORS AND CO2 SENSORS CONDUIT IN SPACE.• PROVIDE, PLENUM COMMUNICATION CABLE BETWEEN RTUS INSTALLED BYELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR.• PROVIDE, AND TERMINATE PLENUM CABLE FOR LENNOX PROVIDED SPACESENSORS AND HUMIDITY SENSORS CONDUIT IN SPACE, IF REQUIRED. WIREINSTALLATION BY ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR.• PROGRAM AND COMMISSION CONTROLS AS REQUIRED TO MEET OWNERSPECIFICATIONS.• PROVIDE REPORT DETAILING COMMISSION OF CONTROLS AND SUBMIT TOOWNER.• PROVIDE OWNER OPERATORS 2 HOURS OF TRAINING.

D. WARRANTY

• LENNOX PROVIDES A ONE (1) YEAR PARTS WARRANTY ON THE WORKMANSHIP OF ALLLENNOX PROVIDED MATERIAL, AND EQUIPMENT, STARTING AT CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY.

E. CLARIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITY OF MECHANICAL & ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR

• CONDUIT, RACEWAYS SHALL BE FURNISHED AND INSTALLED BY THE ELECTRICALCONTRACTOR. CONTROL CONTRACTOR WILL REQUIRE A CONDUIT, AND WIRE RACEWAY PATHFOR THE SPACE SENSORS IN AREAS NOT ACCESSIBLE, SUCH AS WALLS, SANCTUARY ANDGYMNASIUM AREAS, SUCH THAT ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR CAN INSTALL CONTROL WIRE ANDSPACE SENSORS.• CABLE (PROVIDED BY THE CONTROL CONTRACTOR) SHALL BE PULLED OR INSTALLED ATEACH LOCATION SHOWN ON THE CONTROL DRAWINGS. (INSTALLED BY ELECTRICALCONTRACTOR)• ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL ALL SENSORS AND PANEL.• THE EOC, TAB, AND CONTROL INSTALLATION SCOPE WILL BE COORDINATED WITH THEGENERAL AND/OR MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR.• THE GENERAL OR MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR WILL NOTIFY LENNOX WITH AT LEASTFOURTEEN (14) DAYS ADVANCED NOTICE THAT THE HVAC SYSTEM IS 100% COMPLETE ANDREADY FOR EOC AND CONTROL TERMINATION.O HIGH VOLTAGE MUST BE CONNECTED TO EACH UNITO GAS MUST BE CONNECTED TO EACH UNITO PROPER PHASE ROTATION MUST BE CONFIRMED AT THE DISCONNECTO ALL STAGES OF HEATING AND COOLING MUST BE CONFIRMED OPERATIONALO UNITS CAN BE PUT IN STANDALONE OPERATION BY SETTING THE UNIT OPERATION TO LCONNECTION/RETURN AIR BACK UP MODE. CONSULT THE M-2 PRODIGY CONTROL MANUALFOR INSTRUCTIONS OR CONTACT LENNOX NATIONAL ACCOUNT TECHNICAL SUPPORT1-800-367-6285 FOR ASSISTANCE.• THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR WILL PROVIDE A REPRESENTATIVE ON-SITE DURING THEEOC SERVICE TO ADDRESS DEFICIENCIES FOUND. 1. PROVIDE ALL LABOR, MATERIALS, AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY TO CONSTRUCT A COMPLETE, OPERATIONAL HVAC SYSTEM FOR THEENTIRE PROJECT AS SHOWN ON THESE DRAWINGS, INCLUDING ALL NECESSARY FEES AND PERMITS.

2. THE ENTIRE INSTALLATION SHALL CONFORM TO THE MOST RECENTLY ADOPTED REQUIREMENTS OF THE INTERNATIONAL MECHANICALCODE, INTERNATIONAL PLUMBING CODE, INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE, AND ALL OTHER APPLICABLE CITY, COUNTY, AND STATE CODESAND REGULATIONS IN EFFECT AT THE DATE OF THE PERMITTING.

3. COORDINATE THE INSTALLATION OF ALL HVAC PIPING, DUCTWORK, AND EQUIPMENT WITH PLUMBING PIPING, PLUMBING EQUIPMENT, FIREPROTECTION PIPING AND ALL OTHER TRADES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR, ELECTRICALCONTRACTOR, FIRE PROTECTION CONTRACTOR, GENERAL CONTRACTOR, AND ANY CONTRACTOR HIRED DIRECTLY BY THE OWNER PRIORTO FABRICATION AND INSTALLATION. WHERE CONFLICTS MAY OCCUR, THEY SHALL BE RESOLVED PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.

4. THE DRAWINGS SHOW THE GENERAL DESIGN, ARRANGEMENTS AND THE EXTENT OF THE SYSTEM. IT SHALL BE THE WORK OF THECONTRACTOR TO MAKE SUCH SLIGHT ALTERATIONS AS MAY BE NECESSARY TO MAKE THE SYSTEM COMPLETE AND OPERATIONAL INACCORDANCE WITH THE DESIGN INTENT. MAJOR DEVIATIONS SUCH AS CHANGES IN COMPONENT SIZES, WEIGHTS, QUANTITIES, ORMATERIAL REQUIRE PRIOR APPROVAL BY THE CONSULTING ENGINEER.

5. ALL HVAC INFORMATION IS NOT SHOWN ON THE HVAC DRAWINGS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR COORDINATINGINFORMATION ON ALL OTHER CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS INCLUDING ARCHITECTURAL, STRUCTURAL, MECHANICAL, AND ELECTRICALDRAWINGS.

6. THE WORKING DRAWINGS ARE DIAGRAMMATIC. BECAUSE OF THE SMALL SCALE OF THE DRAWINGS, THEY DO NOT SHOW EVERY OFFSET,BEND OR ELBOW NECESSARY FOR THE COMPLETE INSTALLATION IN THE SPACE PROVIDED. ALL LOCATIONS FOR HVAC EQUIPMENT ANDPIPING SHALL BE CHECKED AND COORDINATED WITH THE ARCHITECTURAL, MECHANICAL, STRUCTURAL AND ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS.

7. SPACE ABOVE ALL CEILINGS IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. CAREFUL COORDINATION IS REQUIRED WITH ALL TRADES BEFORE ANY PIPE, DUCT,OR EQUIPMENT IS ORDERED AND/OR INSTALLED. 1/8" SCALE SHOP DRAWINGS (SUBMITTED TO BGW FOR APPROVAL) ARE REQUIRED FORALL DIVISION 23 WORK. 1/8" SCALE LINDAB DRAWINGS MUST BE REVIEWED BY MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR AND RETURNED TO BGW FORMODIFICATION PRIOR TO DUCTWORK BEING ORDERED. ANY CONFLICTS AND/OR CHANGES FOUND DURING INSTALLATION THAT RESULTFROM LACK OF COORDINATION BY THE CONTRACTORS DURING THE SHOP DRAWING PROCESS ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THECONTRACTOR.

8. THE DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS HAVE BEEN PREPARED TO SUPPLEMENT EACH OTHER AND THEY SHALL BE INTERPRETED AS ANINTEGRAL UNIT WITH THE ITEMS SHOWN ON ONE AND NOT THE OTHER BEING FURNISHED AND INSTALLED AS THOUGH SHOWN AND CALLEDOUT IN BOTH.

9. DETAILS: THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE TO REVIEW AND USE WHERE APPROPRIATE ALL OF THE MECHANICAL DETAILS SHOWN ONTHE DRAWINGS. DETAILS MAY OR MAY NOT BE CALLED OUT ON THE DRAWINGS WITH SYMBOLS OR KEYED NOTES. ANY CHANGESRESULTING FROM FAILURE TO INSTALL THE MECHANICAL SYSTEM WITHOUT USING THE INCLUDED DETAILS IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THECONTRACTOR.

10. PREPARE 6 COPIES OF SUBMITTALS IN AN INDEXED, LABELED FOLDER CONTAINING FULL PERFORMANCE, MATERIAL AND INSTALLATIONINFORMATION ABOUT ALL EQUIPMENT, PIPING, COMPONENTS AND ACCESSORIES TO BE USED.

11. THE STRUCTURE SHOWN ON ALL DETAILS MAY OR MAY NOT PERTAIN TO A PORTION OR ANY PORTION OF THE BUILDING. COORDINATEMOUNTING REQUIREMENTS WITH ARCHITECTURAL AND STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS.

12. ANY PART OF THIS INSTALLATION THAT FAILS, IS UNFIT, OR BECOMES DAMAGED DURING CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE REPAIRED ORREPLACED BY THE CONTRACTOR AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER.

13. ALL EQUIPMENT SHALL PROVIDE THE SCHEDULED PERFORMANCE AT THE SITE ALTITUDE.

14. ALL EQUIPMENT SHALL BE INSTALLED IN STRICT ACCORDANCE WITH THE EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATIONS. PROVIDEALL FITTINGS, TRANSITIONS, VALVES, DAMPERS, AND OTHER DEVICES AND ACCESSORIES REQUIRED FOR A COMPLETE, WORKABLEINSTALLATION.

15. THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH ALL REQUIRED MOTORS. ALL MOTOR STARTING EQUIPMENT, WHEN NOT A PART OF THEEQUIPMENT, WILL BE FURNISHED BY THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR.

16. THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL RUN CONDUIT FOR ALL HVAC CONTROL WIRING. CONDUIT SHALL RUN FROM THERMOSTATLOCATION TO ABOVE CEILING IN FINISHED AREAS AND TO MECHANICAL UNIT WHERE THERE IS NO CEILING. MECHANICAL CONTRACTORWILL PROVIDE AND INSTALL PLENUM RATED CABLE. MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE LOCATION AND QUANTITY OF CONDUITWITH ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR.

17. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HVAC EQUIPMENT CHECK-IN, SAFEKEEPING, AND DAMAGE.

18. PROPERLY LUBRICATE ALL PIECES OF EQUIPMENT BEFORE TURNING THE SYSTEM OVER TO THE OWNER.

19. TWO OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE MANUALS SHALL BE PROVIDED IN HARD BACK LOOSE LEAF BINDERS. MANUALS SHALL CONTAINPRODUCT CUT SHEETS AND OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS ON ALL EQUIPMENT, ACCESSORIES, FIXTURES, VALVES, ETC.,PROVIDED FOR THE PROJECT.

20. UPON COMPLETION OF THE WORK, REMOVE ALL SURPLUS MATERIALS AND RUBBISH. MAKE ALL REQUIRED PATCHING AND REPAIRS OFOTHER TRADES' WORK DAMAGED BY THIS CONTRACTOR, AND LEAVE THE PREMISES IN A CLEAN, ORDERLY CONDITION.

21. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OPERATE THE SYSTEM AND DEMONSTRATE ALL ASPECTS TO THE ENGINEER AND/OR OWNER, TO PROVE ITSOPERATION. ALL FILTERS USED DURING CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE REPLACED PRIOR TO THE TEST RUN PERIOD.

22. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL GUARANTEE THE HVAC SYSTEM INCLUDING DUCTWORK FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OFCERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY. CONTRACTOR TO INCLUDE PRICE FOR FIRST YEAR LABOR WARRANTY ON ALL OWNER SUPPLIED EQUIPMENT.

23. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL, DURING CONSTRUCTION, MAINTAIN A SET OF AS-BUILT REDLINED RECORD DRAWINGS AT THE PROJECT SITE.ALL CHANGES IN LAYOUT, ROUTING, EQUIPMENT, COMPONENTS, AND ACCESSORIES SHALL BE RECORDED. THESE REDLINES SHALL BEGIVEN TO THE ARCHITECT/ENGINEER AFTER THE FINAL INSPECTION.HVAC GENERAL NOTES.

24. RECORD DRAWINGS SHALL BE PROVIDED TO THE OWNER, ALONG WITH A COMPLETE SET OF EQUIPMENT OPERATING ANDMAINTENANCE MANUALS. REQUIRED ROUTINE MAINTENANCE ACTIONS SHALL BE CLEARLY IDENTIFIED AND THE NAMES AND ADDRESSES OFAT LEAST ONE SERVICE AGENCY SHALL BE PROVIDED.
