Why the Assistant Accountantapprenticeship isgoodfor your businessAnAssistantAccountant providessupport tointernal andexternal customersandwill workwithin apracticeor the financefunction of anorganisation. Partof their rolewill involveassistingin the day-to-dayfinancial activities suchasdataentry to month-endmanagementaccountsand/or year-endfinancial statements. Itcompliments both the AAT’s2016newsyllabuswith apprenticescompleting asynoptic test andbringing together aportfolio of work showcasingthe best of their achievements.

Apprenticeship FundingLevypaying employers (employerswith a paybill over£3mper year)– your levy funds canbeusedto payfor apprenticeships.
If you are a non-levy paying employer 95%of theapprenticeship training and assessment costs will bepaid by the government and youwill only have to contributethe remaining 5%.
Governmentincentives are available if you take onapprentices between 16– 18yearsof age.
