EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS
*Itinerary and order of activities subject to variation.
DAY 1-2 Fly from the USA and arrive in Nairobi, Kenya. Once you
arrive in Nairobi with your group, you will rest up in a nearby
eco lodge before hitting the ground running tomorrow!
DAY 3-5Spend the next three days in the award-winning and
pioneering Ol Pejeta Conservancy participating in wildlife
conservation projects and local community projects.
Your conservation projects will vary from learning about
conservation and the history of the endangered species
through wildlife game drives. You will go on field visits to
livestocks sections to understand the wildlife-integration
program and cattle breeding within a wildlife conservancy,
or understanding the anti-poaching dog units that include
a demonstration of tracking and sniffing. Lastly, you’ll have
the opportunity to assist the community in the areas where
they need the most help. These projects could be building a
new school or toilet block, teaching English, playing sports,
or tree planting in the grounds.
DAY 6Today, you will travel to Lake Naivasha, a large freshwater
lake full of flamingo, hippos, rhinos, and giraffes. Your
group will take a beautiful boat ride across the lake to try
and see the wildlife even closer!
DAY 7-10Experience the most magical and world famous Maasai Mara
National Reserve, as you venture on game drives, visit a local
market, learn about the Maasai culture, and work with the
local environment and community.
DAY 11Now it’s time to go from safari to scuba! Take a plane ride to
the beautiful Tanzanian island of Zanzibar and get ready to
see the world below the water.
DAY 12-15Experience wildlife under the sea, as you go through the
PADI scuba certification. Your group will learn everything
you need to know about scuba diving and then put your
knowledge to the test in the great Indian Ocean.
DAY 16-17The next two days will be bittersweet, as you make your way
from Africa to the U.S., but not before your group has a final
banquet and reminisces on the wonderful trip you’ve had!
“Spending time with the most amazing people and soaking in the
raw, untouched beauty of nature is an experience that will remain
unmatched for as long as I live.”
