Foundation day at VRC of CMFRI, Visakhapatnam

Regional centre of CMFRI, Visakhapatnam conducted an

exhibition-cum-education programme on 3rd February, 2017 as

part of celebrating the 70th foundation day of the institute. The

institute had showcased different activities like marine

biodiversity museum, Recirculatory Aquaculture System,

mariculture laboratories and environmental research for general

public. The institute had invited students from different schools

like Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan and Siva Shivani School,

Visakhapatnam. Altogether 250 students had visited from two

schools to the institute. The scientific and technical staffs of the

institute explained the details of research activities,

achievements and hatchery facility to the students. Various

documentaries of CMFRI were also displayed to the students.

The students also visited the laboratories related to fishery

biology, environmental research, marine algae culture and

Recirculatory Aquaculture System. Along with foundation day

celebration, the students also participated in the Swachata

Pledge with respect to Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan of the institute.
