Our Speciality: Industrial Visit Trips for MBA Students are planned by SP Jain Alumnus
keeping in mind the Industry Learning Perspective.
In this Itinerary Industries Planned for Visit: Anna Aluminium (Metals Industry), Kitex
Garments (Apparel Industry), Modern Bread (Bakery Industry), Tea Factory at Munnar (At
least 2 Industries will be visited, other Industries too can be visited depending on preference
between Sight-seeing v/s Extra Industries)
Tour Route : Mumbai – Cochin – Munnar – Thekkady-Alleppey-Cochin-
Mumbai
20th Jan Day 1: Depart Mumbai by Train
The Industrial Visit Tour starts from Mumbai by 16345 Netravati Express, 11:40 am from
Lokmanya Tilak Terminus. The Train journey is of 26 Hours and 30 Mins to Cochin.
The Train route is Fantastic as it passes through the Beautiful Konkan belt of Ratnagiri,
Madgaon, Mangalore to take you till Ernakulam (Cochin) next day.

21st Jan Day 2: Arrive at Cochin Station, Cochin Sight-seeing, Overnight
at Shimla
Netravathi Express drops you to Ernakulam Junction at 14:10 afternoon. Cochin’s station is
called Ernakulam Junction.
Our tour Executive will meet and greet you at the Railway Station on your arrival for the
Kerala Tour. Later you will be taken to your hotel and followed by a city tour that will cover
Cochins tourist hot spot Historical Fort Cochin Where you can see some of the remarkable
remains of the Colonial Past as Fort Cochin was the hub of Portuguese, Dutch, English,
Arabs, Chinese etc.
Also experience and understand the Nitty-Gritties of the Gigantic Chinese fishing nets, and
how the Fishermen here have continued using the traditional methods of fishing and yet
been successful. Overnight stay Cochin.

22nd Jan Day 3: Cochin Industrial Visit - Munnar
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed towards Anna Aluminium
Anna Aluminium was started in 1968 by Sri M.C. Jacob, the audacious entrepreneur behind
this venture. Today it is the chief among leading manufacturers and suppliers of classically
styled and quality assured aluminium and non-stick cookware.
Apply your MBA knowledge to the practical working you will experience here at the
Industry
If Time Permits we will also visit Kitex Garments, to understand the Apparel industry and
the nuisances involved in the working of the Apparel Industry. Kitex Garments has A Fully
Vertical Set-up with Organic Processing.
Later drive towards Munnar, the most praised paradise like hill station of Kerala. Its lays like
a typical green painting with thousands of acres tea plantations hugged by the mist of
Western Ghats & Cool foggy climate throughout the year makes Munnar is really a heaven
of Kerala. On the way you can enjoy the view of Cheeyappara and after reaching Munnar
check in your hill resort and have leisure or go for a tea plantation and town visit in the
evening. Overnight stay at Munnar.

23rd Jan Day 4: Munnar
Today after breakfast, we take you to visit a Tea Factory – Munnar has amazing Tea
Estates and we will visit a Tea Factory and understand the Tea Industry. Get your
doubts about Tea Processing clarified.
Later we go for sightseeing at Mattupetty Dam; a beautiful spot for viewing the picturesque
Munnar, Kundala Lake- a natural lake with recreational facilities like boating (optional & at
extra cost) and having excellent view of Western Ghats as well as the ever green forest
surrounded with. Also visit Eco point and tea plantations. After having lunch, you can visit
Eravikulam National park; where the endangering Nilgiri Tahr is conserved. Later drive back
to your resort for Overnight stay.

24th Jan Day 5: Munnar – Thekkady – Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary
Today after breakfast check out your hotel and drive towards Thekkady, the Wildlife
destination of Kerala. Its also known as the spice bag of the state. You can enjoy a beautiful
journey through the hills and valleys of WasternGhat to reach this jungle destination.. Also
have an amazing boat ride (Optional & at Additional Cost) in Periyar Lake which flows
through the Periyar tiger reserve. You will have chance to watch the wild animals like
elephant, Bison, Sambar, Deer etc which are roaming around both the banks. Overnight stay
at Thekkady
Optional Add-Ons: Kathakali show, Kalaripayatu – Kerala Fighting Show or Spice
plantation visit, Elephant Ride, Boat Ride in Tiger Resrve

25th Jan Day 6: Thekkady – Alleppey The Backwater Wonder of Kerala
Today after breakfast, check out of the resort and proceed to Alleppey, the Backwater
wonder of Kerala. Alleppey is one of the reasons why Kerala has gained so much
prominence in the Travel Fraternity.
Afternoon board the world known Traditional Style Kerala Houseboat for a Cruise. You will
have an ever memorable backwater cruise through the beautiful lagoons and waterways coir
villages in Alleppey till Sunset. Overnight stay in Hotel at Alleppey.

26th Jan Day 7: Alleppey – Cochin – Overnight Train
Today morning check out from the Hotel and we move towards Cochin. Alleppey to Cochin
is 55 Kms, approximately 2 Hours driving distance.
If Time permits we can also have a visit to the Famous Modern Bakery known for its Breads
across India.
Afternoon reach the Train Station to board your Train back to Mumbai.
Board Nethravati Express from Ernakulam Station (Cochin) at 14:05 Hours

27th Jan Day 8: Back to Mumbai
Today we arrive back to Mumbai in the evening by 16:40 at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus with
Extremely Fond Memories and Learnings from the trip.
