WHY WE’RE DIFFERENT
About the event
In 2017, experts identified six key milestones – across energy, transport, land use, industry, infrastructure, and finance – that mankind must hit by 2020 in order to get a grip on global warming once and for all. They called this the ‘climate turning point’.
While positive progress has been made towards many of these milestones, the reality is that action across the board remains broadly insufficient to reverse climate change and tackle key critical environmental and social sustainability issues. But all hope is not lost. In fact, there remains a huge, transformational opportunity for businesses to achieve a sustainable and profitable future, through a radical increase in ambition and relentless optimism.
edie’s 2020 Sustainability Leaders Forum is all about chasing the positive and reaching the climate turning point. Our flagship, multi-award-winning event unites business leaders and sustainability decision-makers from the world’s largest companies, along with climate experts, policymakers, NGOs and investors to ignite a decade of business transformation. Offering two-days full of inspirational talks, high-level panel discussions, interactive experiences, collaborative workshops and unique networking opportunities – this is THE event that will inspire professionals of all levels to chase the positive and drive much-needed change.
Be a part of the collective. Join us at the Sustainability Leaders Forum in 2020.

This interactive workshop will help everyone rethink how they can drive change in their organisation and bring others on the journey with them. The flow of the workshop will begin with a snapshot of insights from Sian Sutherland and the panellists before introducing a proven change approach. Participants then work in teams to tackle a real challenge and share their solutions and ideas with the whole group including the panel.
Questions that we will address include:• How can you tackle plastic within your own business? • How can you persuade all stakeholders to embrace essential change? • What is the legacy you will leave behind?
