Riverdale Unity Event with Parents of Gil-ad Shaer z"l - June 4th Join the Bayit and neighboring synagogues and institutions at a Community-wide Unity Day Shabbat
Program on June 4th at 6pm at CSAIR. The program will feature a special
presentation by Bat Galim & Ophir Shaer, parents of Gil-ad Shaer z”l, followed by a
community conversation on Jewish Unity. This program is part of a weekend series of
Unity Day programs taking place across the New York area, as part of the
international Unity Day initiative, and is funded by UJA-Federation of New York.

Mikvah Construction Update The renovation of the Riverdale Mikvah is underway. Please keep in mind that

Iyov is a Bible scholar whose grandfather Prof. Abraham Ikuro Teshima founded the Makuya movement in 1948. He established

dance to portray the dazzling 100 years of her great aunt Elizabeth "Lisl" Polk who transcends poverty, artisticrepression and the

HEBREW HOME: L’DOR V’DOR INTERNSHIP: This four week program provides students with an opportunity to work
with our residents and develop meaningful relationships with them. In addition, our interns will learn about Jewish values and
attitudes towards aging and the elderly. Participants must be 15 years or older. The program runs from Tuesday, 7/5/2016 to
Friday 7/29/2016, Monday through Friday, 9:15am - 4:45pm. Interns must commit to volunteering for 20 hours during the
subsequent school year. There is a $500 stipend upon completion of the internship. To apply, email [email protected]

EZRA SCHWARTZ MEMORIAL LOOKOUT FUND: It is the desire of the family of Ezra Schwartz, z"l, the 18.y.o. boy who
was murdered recently in Israel, to build a memorial lookout for Ezra on the Boys' Promenade in Gush Etzion, near where he was
murdered. Donations to the fund can be made on the JNF website at http://support.jnf.org/site/TR/MemorialTribute/SecurePages?
px=1182563&pg=personal&fr_id=1870. All donations are tax deductible. Donors of $10K or more will be invited guests of the
JNF in Israel to participate in the dedication of the lookout and have their names on the memorial plaque. For more information
