1.0 SUMMARY Exploration license 021559M (property) was acquired by Benton Resources Inc. in October, 2013. The
license consists of 44 claims that forms part of a larger package of exploration licenses held by the
Benton/Nordmin JV area, referred to as the Cape Ray Property (Figure 1). The Cape Ray Property takes
up to approximately 60 kilometers of the Cape Ray Fault Zone. The property is host to several other
gold-silver-base metal deposits including Windowglass Hill and the Cape Ray deposits (04, 41 and 51
zones). The Cape Ray Property is located in southwestern Newfoundland and the IAM lease, which is the
topic of this report, is located approximately 35 kilometers northeast of the town of Port aux Basque,
centered at UTM (nad27) coordinate 362200 east and 5295500 north.
The 021559M lease is situated along the Cape Ray Fault Zone (CRFZ), a regional northeast trending zone
of highly strained rocks separating the Cape Ray Igneous Complex to the northwest from the Port aux
Basque gneiss to the southeast. The Cape Ray Fault Zone is associated with all of the deposits within the
Cape Ray Property, including the license 021559M.
Following the discovery of a high grade deposit in 1988, Isle aux Mort, located to the north of the
License 021559M, a program consisting of mapping and sampling as well as ground geophysical and
geochemical surveys were completed.
No additional work has been carried out on the zone since 1996.
Benton Resources Inc. acquired a 100% interest in the 021559M property in October, 2013. During the
period between May 1 and July 15, 2015, Benton compiled all available data on the exploration
programs completed on the area and created a standardized digital database converted from local grid
to UTM (nad27) projection.
2.0 INTRODUCTION This report describes the results of the old historical and 2016 drilling collar survey which is part of the
compilation of historical exploration activities completed on exploration Cape Ray Property including
license 021559M on Benton Resources Inc./Nordmin Engineering LTD’s JV area, located in southwestern
Newfoundland. License 021559M covers 10.9 km2, in total and last working activities were in 1996.
The purpose of the survey campaign was to confirm old historical drill hole collars dating from 1979, on
the existing database of exploration work completed on the property, as a part of a QAQC program
conducted by Nordmin Engineering LTD personnel. It is expressed that this working database will be
beneficial in identifying future exploration targets on Lease 21559M as well as on the remaining Cape
Ray Property.

3.0 Infrastructure Minimal infrastructure currently exists on the Cape Ray Property and evidence of previous exploration
work including drilling, trenching, and bulk sampling are present. No electrical or telephone line
infrastructure extends to the Cape Ray Property and the nearest electrical high voltage substation is
located approximately 25 km to the southwest in the community of Channel-Port aux Basques.
The deposit area is non-populated at present and surrounded by an abundance of barren land that
would favorably contribute to mine development. There are a few seasonal cottages within the claim
boundary (Figure 2).
Figure 2 Cape Ray Cottage Area Map (Google Map)
The abundance of surface water resources from lakes on the Cape Ray Property is a positive factor for
future development. The current access road will require upgrades to ease logistics to ready the
property for further exploration/mining production work and to supply year round access. The road
would also need to be extended to connect outlier deposits that are deemed economically viable for
production.

5.0 Current Work
5.1 2016 Surface drill hole collar survey Program From December 1st to 6th to 2016 Giovanni Sferrazza and Even Stavre (Nordmin Engineering LTD) from
Sudbury, Ont., performed a two day surveying campaign zones.
Upon arriving at the grid location by helicopter, the RTK system Base unit was installed the Base Station
(Base_2016). Once all necessary equipment was installed, the base unit was initialized with its
coordinates and elevation. Two quality control shot were measured near the base, to verify that the
system was operational and delivering corrected positions. The base unit was then activated to begin
additional static data collection. The crew then navigated to pre-plotted drill-hole locations to survey
the surface drill collar locations.

Figure 4 Cape Ray 2016 DDH Collar Survey Map
The surface DDH collar surveying tasks that were performed along each collar location consisted
collecting of an existing total of 8 DDH collars throughout the Cape Ray JV area covering:
Licences 7833M, 9939M, 17072M & 21559M. (Figure 4)
Upon completion of the surface DDH collar survey, the data logger was downloaded and the information
checked.
Photos were recorded in the field notebook during the survey. In addition to the DDH collar survey
surveys, a recognisance survey was made for License 21559M by Even Stavre and John Sferrazza to spot
other old historical markings such as old pickets, old local grid(s) during historical exploration activities.
No DDH collars or other old historical workings, old grid pickets, benchmark pickets were noted at that
time and no GPS survey was performed. All the 8 DDH collar locations surveyed, located on the 9939M
License. All results of the survey were tabulated to include Northing, Easting, Elevation and difference of
previous survey for each DDH collar measurement comparison.
Results were tabulated and are provided in this Survey Report (Table 3).

6.0 Water Analysis Surface water sampling for geochemical characterization and potential effects analysis took place
throughout the exploration program undertaken in 2016. Samples were obtained from surface water
bodies throughout the property and in close proximity to drilling activities (Figure 5). Coordinates of
sampling locations can be found in Table 5.
A total of four sampling events were undertaken in May, August, September and October. Samples were
delivered to AGAT laboratories in Halifax NS for analysis of total metals and cations, major anions,
hardness, organics, inorganics, mercury and Radium 226. Sample results can be found in Appendix I.
Results were compared to relevant provincial and federal water quality criteria for all parameters. All
sampling including for QA/QC purposes was carried out by Giovanni Sferrazza, Director Environmental
Services at Nordmin Engineering.
