CatacousticpresentsatalkbyscholarDr.JohnPowellinsupportoftheperformanceofLa Fête du Ruel.PowellwillspeakabouttheuniquenatureofthisworldpremiereoftheBaroqueoperaonJune4.Take a sneak peak into the political intrigue that contributed to the cancellation of this intended celebratory performance.

Powell will use projected images of the opera manuscript and historic drawings of the gardens andchateau, which were renovated specially for the occasion of the king’s intended visit and operaperformance.Themanuscriptincludedhistoricinformationabouttheoriginalstagingoftheevent:
