Manufacturing date for lot traceable. The first two number show theyear, the second two show themonth.
Clear identification of manufacturer: on all our production there isour trade marksNominal diameter, working pressure, item's code are always indicated on thebody of our valvesMade in Italy: clear indication of country of origin of our productionOn small diameter there is only Italy due to lack of space.
Thread realized according toISO 228 or ISO 7 standard. The first collar stops the pipebefore it damage the valveseats.
Gasket in pure PTFE
Ball in brass, diamond cutand hard chromium plated
All components are checked during production in accordance with ISO 9000 standards. At the end of the cycle all the valves are inspectiontested under pressure. During assembly all our valves are lubricated with a silicone vaporisation. Valves may be ordered from the factory without lubricant. In the technical data section there is a list of fluids that are compatible with the materials we use. Before installation, read the instructions at theend of this catalogue. The symbols of the Authorities whose certification we possess are shown at the side of the articles. Passage full wayBody brass according to EN 12165 standard (alloy CW 617 N)Seal on the stem with 2 O-RingsSeal on the ball with two gaskets in pure PTFEFitting features The connection to the plastic pipe with brass clamping ring ensures a
steady connection. The clamping ring is oblique cut to assure a rigid connection along the entire surface of the pipe. The screw nut covers and protects the entire connection in order to prevent a possible blockage of the thread due to trapped dirt.
Assembling instructions• Cut the pipe in a perpendicular way to his lenght and remove any residual part. • Slacken the nut. DO NOT DISMANTLE THE FITTING.• Insert the plastic pipe up to the end.• Tighten the nut.• Should it be necessary to completely unscrew the fitting, make sure to be in a clean place or prevent dirt, sand or fiber damaging the fitting
compromosing the seal. Avoid pressing or damaging the clamping ring or stratching the O-Ring. Do not turn upside down the clamping ring, the conical side always goes against the conical side of the nut.
• Should it be necessary to reinforce the plastic pipe, it is possible to insert article 512.

Ball valve installation notes
Each user has its own particular requirements and given the many conditions in existence (in terms of temperature, pressure, fluid, environmentetc) we advise that you undertake tests beforehand and consult us indicating the actual conditions of use involved. The “open/closed” position is made visible by means of a lever, which respectively alligned or in a perpendicular sense to the piping, thanks toits quarter of a turn tightening for opening or closure. The ball valve is a check valve, and is not a regulating valve and it therefore needs to be either open or closed, and must not be left inintermediate position as there is a risk of damage to the seals, especially if the valve works at high temperature or pressure conditions. Select the valves of sufficient resistance to the application required, in any event the piping must be aligned and supported with suitable fixtureelements in order to prevent the risk of any flexure strain affecting the valve.
Warning- If left full of water there is a risk of breakage in freezing conditions. Should it be necessary to drain the piping, should freezing conditions beforeseen, undertake an opening/closure operation or leave the valve partially open to allow the water to drain away, from between the body andthe ball.- The threads for which no particular indication is provided are in accordance with ISO 228 standards, the male ISO 228 threads cannot bethreaded on to thread ISO 7.- Complaints will not be accepted in the event of valves with evidence of spanner marking between the body and the end connection. Thepressure of any tools applied to this part of the valve may jeopardize the sealing capacity between the threaded end and the body itself.
Inspect the valve to ensure that thereare no foreign bodies that mightdamage the PTFE seat and the balltherefore jeopardizing the sealingcapacity.
Our valves have a stopping rim whichprevents the pipe from entering thevalve thereby ruining the PTFE seats. However avoid over-tightening.
Any sealing materials must be appliedon the male thread of the pipe ensuringthat there are no burrs which might“enter” the valve and insert themselvesbetween the seat and the ball therebyjeopardizing the sealing capacity.
Avoid securing the valve betweenclamps but secure the pipe. Excessivepressure may cause the valve tobecome oval thereby jeopardizingperformance levels.Do not secure the valve on theconnection collar between the bodyand the threaded end.
Avoid applying any contrary forces onthe body and threaded end. Theanaerobic adhesive may becomedamaged and jeopardize the sealingcapacity of the body-threaded endconnection.
Ensure that the pipes or other elementsto be fixed to valve are clean. In order to ensure the bestperformance and sealing capacityinstall special mechanical filters, whichretain the impurities thereby preventinggasket scratches.
Should it be necessary to bore a pipeto be connected to a valve, carefullyremove any residue or burrs whichmay affect the efficiency of the valve.
Should it be necessary to dismantle thelever, take the necessary precautions toensure that the stem is not subject toany blows during operations.
The valves with PFTE gasket on thestem have an adjustable ring whichmakes it possible to restore the sealingcapacity in the event of any minorleakage. Avoid excessive tightening ofthe nut which may damage the seal.Gently tighten by a maximum of aquarter of a turn.
The present instructions do notpretend to provide a comprehensivesolution to all problems which mayoccur during installation. Theinstallation technician is thereforeadvised to follow sound existinginstallation techniques.
