Equations
The game of creative mathematics
Equations is a math strategy game for 3 to 6 players.
Players use the numbers & operations on the game cubes
to set a goal and make equations. They take turns
forbidding, permitting, or requiring certain cubes.
Some competitions give awards for creative team names
and costumes.
Players must reach a consciences on a team name and
create their costumes.
Most names have a math reference. These are the
Radical Hoops.
At competitions, teams divide and play against children
from all over the city.
They play four 20-minute rounds.
This student’s work shows how she scratches out possible
solutions as cubes are placed on the game board.
Score sheets show how many games were played & how
many points the player earned in each round.
Scores are tallied at the end of each round. Top
performing individuals &teams receive recognition.
