The game of creative mathematics

Page 3: Equations

Equations is a math strategy game for 3 to 6 players.

Page 4: Equations

Players use the numbers & operations on the game cubes

to set a goal and make equations. They take turns

forbidding, permitting, or requiring certain cubes.

Page 5: Equations

Some competitions give awards for creative team names

and costumes.

Page 6: Equations

Players must reach a consciences on a team name and

create their costumes.

Page 7: Equations

Most names have a math reference. These are the

Radical Hoops.

Page 8: Equations

At competitions, teams divide and play against children

from all over the city.

Page 9: Equations

They play four 20-minute rounds.

Page 10: Equations

This student’s work shows how she scratches out possible

solutions as cubes are placed on the game board.

Page 11: Equations

Score sheets show how many games were played & how

many points the player earned in each round.

Page 12: Equations

Scores are tallied at the end of each round. Top

performing individuals &teams receive recognition.
