Adding photos and other tips!
Making photo gallery
Gather ALL the photos you need into your images folder. (remember to copy the URL so you can add to your bibliography!)
Open Fireworks and create thumbnails for each image. To do this, go to Modify, Canvas, Image Size and change the
height. A good size for a thumbnail is 50-100 pixels. Make sure you choose SAVE AS, so you don’t
overwrite the large image, save them in your images folder, with a name that indicates it is the thumbnail.
Open a new HTML document, edit the title and then SAVE IT to your web folder.
Making photo gallery – Adding Images
Click on the Image Icon, or go to Insert -> Image to add an image.
Select the thumbnail image, add alt text (if desired) and click ok.
To make the thumbnail link to the larger image, make sure you have the thumbnail selected and then click on the Link Icon, or go to Insert -> Hyperlink. Browse to your images folder and choose the large
image. Use the properties panel at the bottom to add the link
to the larger image and to adjust anything about the images.
