Dr. Widder co-founded ORCA – the Ocean Research and Conservation Association – to protect the ocean she loves. A specialist in bioluminescence (the light chemically produced by many ocean organisms), she has developed equipment to watch sea life undisturbed in its habitat, including the Eye-in-the-Sea™ camera that’s opening a window on this hidden world.
