Kichhiperi LakeMy Trip to Kichu Pelri Lake was amazing.

The fishes came to our hand so they can

eat from there. We were not allowed to feed

them. There were different kinds of fishes. Some

were very small but some were really big. I liked the

only golden fish. The lake was in the shape of Buddha’sfeet. I really could not see the picture but I think I saw a

toe. There were a lot of people there in the lake. Many of

them were feeding the fishes although they were not

allowed to. We had to take off our shoes when we

entered the lake. There was a bridge and in the end of

the bridge there was this old man who was putting rice

tika on foreheads. I was amazed by the fishes in the lake.

-Kitsho, V

The Kitchupere Lake was fantastic. I loved the fish as they

were not afraid to be fed. While throwing my coin in the

water I think one of the fish mistakenly ate my coin

thinking it was food. I was also kind of disappointed with

the lake because I imagined the lake would be blue with

golden fish but the lake was murky brown and same with

the fish.

At the lake I felt calm,

peaceful and I was filled

with joy. I loved feeding the

fish even though I was not

allowed to. If the police

caught you then you had to

pay 200 rupees fine. It wasthe first time I saw fish so

close fighting over biscuits

and orange peels. It was an

extraordinary place and it

felt extraordinary.
