We are seeking to create further income for the

school by hiring out the creative learning hub.

Do you know of any groups that are looking to hire

additional space in the evenings or at

weekends?

The space has:

a fully equipped kitchen

sound proofed doors

interactive white board

chairs and tables

separate entrance/exit point at Herne Place

This would be a suitable space for filming, choir groups, and training sessions.

Please let us know if you think you know anyone!

Please also share your ideas with the PTA as

they are kindly supporting us with this.

Please email [email protected]

Friday Stars and Dojo Winners!

Reception

Class 3

Class 2

Class 1

Reception’s Friday Star is Ivy. Ivy

has shown such enthusiasm in

her learning. She has been

proactive with keeping the class-

room tidy and has shown

fantastic listening skills. Well

done Ivy!

Class One’s Friday Star is Joe! Joe has

written all about The

Naughty Bus 2 - The

revenge of the beans

and has been working

hard to improve his

handwriting. Fantastic

work Joe!

Class Two’s Friday Star is Kayla. We

have been inspired by your motivation

this week! You have worked really

hard at every task you have been

given and not given up when they

have been a bit challenging.

Class Three’s Friday Star is Alissa.

Alissa has been a real ‘Have a Go

Hero’ this week especially in her in-

dependent writing! Miss Francis and

Miss Booth have really enjoyed read-

ing your story! Well done Alissa.

Class 4

Class Four’s Friday Star is Jailen. Jailen has been an absolute egend in his writing. He has worked so independently in his story writing and included exciting noun phrases to make his story as exciting as possible!

Class 5

This week’s Dojo winners are…

Reception

With 302 points! Miss Valuks,

Miss Baffour and Miss Hunjan have given lots of

Dojos for your fantastic tidying up, sitting beauti-

fully on the carpet and always putting your hand

up when you want to share with the group. Well

done!

Class 6

Class Six’s Friday Star is Olivia.

Olivia has shown a fantastic attitude

to her reading this week, and has left

some wonderful comments in her

reading record which have been a

pleasure to read. Great

work Olivia!

Dojo Winners

Class Five’s Friday Star is Bill. I have been so

impressed with Bill’s amazing writing this week. He

wrote a very humorous job advert for the king of

Athens and an incredibly persuasive letter to the

people of Athens to convince them that

he should be king. Keep up the great

work Bill!

In maths, Year One have been learning about greater than, less than and equal to symbols. Look at Azariah’s fantastic way to help her show that 3 is less than 5.

This week Year One have been extremely busy doing some wonderful things!

Year One have been predicting what could happen in next Naughty Bus story.

There has been some outstanding writing and they are learning how to use capital letters and full stops.

Sienna thinks that the Naughty Bus deserves to go to jail!

In the Investigation Station Dido has been matching different objects with the senses that we use. Mr Ellis tried to say that humans could taste candles, but she shook her head furiously! Great work Dido!

In the Construction Area, Year One have been building the famous sights and landmarks that the Naughty Bus would see on his journey. Here are just some of their fantastic creations this week.

School Census Day is Thursday 1st October - If we have all our

children in EYFS and Key Stage 1 eating our wonderful school

meals – this will really make a difference to our school funding

next year!

Next Thursday’s menu includes a delicious wrap (egg salad,

cheese, tuna or cream cheese) and chocolate muffin or yoghurt for

pudding!

School Census Day

Please encourage children to try the new menu – it

can just be for one day – they may love it so much

they want to carry on enjoying our school lunches!

Note to the Reception Parents
