17 - 242Synthesis and Antiviral Activities of Fluorinated Acyclic NucleosidePhosphonates. — In order to find novel antiviral agents with improvedactivity and selectivity, title compounds such as (VII), (IX), and (X) aresynthesized. The base used in the electrophilic fluorination step is criticalfor the yield. The most interesting compound (X) is active against humancytomegalovirus, Epstein–Barr virus and measles with EC50 values of 5.6,1.6, and 32 µg/mL, respectively. — (CHEN, WEI; FLAVIN, MICHAEL T.;FILLER, ROBERT; XU, ZE-QI; J.
