Course Description
This is a “how to” course in retailing with emphasis on practical applications of retailing policies, methods, and procedures for both small and large operations.
Course Objectives
1. To further your understanding of, and interest in, retailing.
2. Enable you to become good retail planners and decision makers who adopt to change.
3. Foster critical thinking skills.
4. Expand your awareness of retailing career opportunities.
5. Provide you with a modest awareness of what lies ahead for retailing.
6. Help you further develop a sense of professionalism.

Make-up Exams & Late Work
• Students with “authorized” absences (as defined in the Student Handbook) will be allowed to take make-up exams for missed examinations.
• Due dates for all assignments are listed on the course blog. These dates are firm unless a change is announced by the instructor. All assignments are due at the start of class. Late assignments will be marked down one letter grade per day beyond the due date
