Academic Transfer Courses – Howard College uses the Texas Common Course Numbering System. Courses within the Core Curriculum (General Studies) should transfer to any Texas Public Institution of Higher Education. Student receives high school and college credit for academic classes. TSI requirements must be met.Career & Technical Courses – Student usually receives a high school and a college credit. No TSI at this time. May not transfer; However, many Colleges are accepting these courses for transfer if needed in for the students degree plan, or possibly as an elective.NOTE: CSME/CNA Classes–no "excused" absences. Save
a lot of money – however – BIG time investment.

(From BSHS Documents)● Students must be in good standing with high school credits, EOC
scores, and attendance to sign up for college courses.
● ALL requirements for Howard College admission must be met.
High school accommodations do not automatically carry over for college classes. Students must speak to the Howard College ADA representative each semester, before classes start, to see what accommodations can
be made for college classes. This must be done before the start of every semester as they do not carry from one semester
to another.
