Brightlands Bulletin. We hope that our initiative of starting a
Newsletter is welcomed and helped you to be updated with
the school activities.
This issue of the Newsletter incorporates our glorious

Beauty in Words
Km. Nishka Singh of class IX presented her self-composed
poem on the occasion of “ International Day of Persons with
Disabilities”. It was organized by Disha Foundation. She
secured the III Position.
Learning Experiences 10
th December, 2018
A fun trip to Akshay Patra was organized by The Times
of India for the students of Class-IX. It was truly an
enriching and spiritually enlightening experience.
Karate Kid
Km. Bhavika Choudhary of class VI made the school proud with
her achievement in the 47th National Mitsuya Kai Karate
Championship, 2018 organized by Mitsuya Kai Karate Association.
She won the III position.

Fun on Children’s Day 14
th November, 2018
“Every child is a different kind of flower, and all
together make this world a beautiful place.” On the joyous occasion of the Children’s Day, an assembly
was presented by the teachers of the primary wing. The
assembly focussed on moral values. The teachers also
enthralled the students with their wonderful performances.
Guru Nanak Jayanti Celebration 22
nd November, 2018
On the eve of Guru Nanak Jayanti students of Class III
organized a special assembly highlighting messages and
principles of Guru Nanak Ji which charged the atmosphere
with positive vibes.
Santa’s Coming 24
th December, 2018
The tiny tots of class-I presented a
special assembly on the true spirit of
Christmas – The joy of giving. The
stage was decorated with colourful
balloons, streamers and a brilliant
X-mas tree.
Annual Prize Giving &
Sports Day (Classes III-V) 17
th November, 2018
The much awaited Annual Prize Giving and Sports
Day for the primary wing was held in the school
campus with great enthusiasm. An energizing field
display set the tone of the event. The Chief Guest
was Dr. Ganga Singh ji.

55th Annual Prize Giving and
Sports Day (Classes VI–XII) 1
st December, 2018
On the occasion of the 55th
Annual Prize Giving and Sports
Day, the students charmed the audience with their marvellous
performances. The splendid field display with an impressive
March Past by the four houses, Yoga display, Taekwondo,
sport dance followed by track and field events and the finale
fusion dance thrilled the audience.
The Chief Guest for the day was Brigadier Virendra Singh Ji
Rathore.

Workshop on Gender Senstivity 21
st May, 2018
An awareness programme on Gender Sensitivity was
organized at Brightlands School. The topic of discussion
during the programme was: The ways to promote all round
development of girls and women. The resource persons
were Ms. Chitra Bhatnagar and Ms. Meenu Trivedi.
Capacity Building Workshop 8
th September, 2018
A motivating session on Capacity Building was conducted
in the school by Dr. Aradhana Singh. The issues
discussed in the workshop were classroom management,
discipline and relationship between teachers and students.
Workshop against Child Abuse 3
rd November,2018
The Vice Principal, Mrs. Neena Chatur attended a workshop cum consensus building on
the project ‘Children against Child Abuse’ at The Palace School. The workshop was
centered around the idea of inculcating confidence in children to speak against abuse
and the role of schools in counseling not only the victim children but their parents too. The
resource persons were Dr. Amit Sen and Dr. Dinesh Kumar.
English Workshop 28
th November, 2018
Ms. Poonam Khanna and Ms. Neha Tripathi attended a workshop which emphasized on “The Changing Role of Teachers of English” at Hotel Ramada, Rajapark. The session stressed upon collaborative learning- strategies and benefits. The resource persons were Ms. Anita Bahadur and Ms. Rohini Bhat.

Our star athletes showcased their vigour and strength, participating in CBSE National Athletic Meet held in Bangalore, Karnataka organized by PSSEMR Devengre, Karnataka.

Km. Kavita Choudhary won Bronze in 1500m Km. Geetika Sharma won Bronze in High Jump
Isha Nama, Kavita Choudhary, Aditi Sharma, Komal Rathore and Kashish Sharma won Gold in 4x400m relay.
