BEDFORD AERODROME LANDING REQUEST FORM To request a landing at Bedford Aerodrome please complete the table below, print and sign the form, then email or fax it to us with a copy of your aircraft insurance certificate. By requesting a landing at Bedford Aerodrome you confirm the following:

1. You have third party insurance for not less than £5million any one incident and attach confirmation of cover. If this is not currently held, extra cover must be provided by your aircraft insurer.

2. You understand that Bedford Aerodrome is a CAA licensed airfield however it will operate as an unlicensed airfield unless you specifically request, and Bedford Aerodrome agrees, otherwise.

3. You have ensured that you are satisfied as to the suitability of the airfield and other facilities for your purposes and understand that Bedford Aerodrome provides no warranty in this respect.

4. You will follow the Aerodrome Regulations and Noise Abatement Procedures set out on the Bedford Aerodrome Information sheet.

5. You will indemnify Bedford Aerodrome, MotorSport Vision Limited, JPM Limited, and all officers, employees, servants, and agents thereof in respect of any liabilities, direct or indirect and of any kind whatsoever arising out of the use of the facilities by your aircraft.

Occasional helicopter movements to Bedford Autodrome helipad 1 nm from runway Aerodrome is a major landmark in the area and frequently used as a VRP Aircraft using the instrument approach procedure for Cranfield may be overhead at an altitude of 2500 ft Visiting aircraft should contact Cranfield Approach on 122.850 for traffic co-ordination purposes Noise Abatement Procedures: Very noise sensitive area – procedures MUST be followed Avoid overflying villages of Bletsoe, Thurleigh, Hatch End, Keysoe Row and Riseley Visitors must comply with Noise Abatement Plan (see page 5) Do NOT overfly the black hatched site on 26 approach one mile from threshold at less than 500ft AGL,

shown on pages 6 and 7 Use steep approaches and departures where possible Training, circuit practice, PFLs or low level flypasts are prohibited Circuits at 1000 ft AGL to the south On departure RWY 08 turn right 20° as soon as possible after take-off Unless otherwise requested by Bedford Radio, please approach to 08 and depart on 26 when this can be

safely achieved, in order to minimise overflight of residents to the east Arrival Instructions: If inbound from outside the UK, pilots must ensure the GAR requirements are complied with as below IFR traffic must co-ordinate with Cranfield Approach on 122.850 at least 15 miles before arrival at EGBF EGBF is VFR only – IFR traffic must either make an initial approach to Cranfield and position to EGBF after

cloud break, or cancel IFR and continue VFR VFR traffic must contact Cranfield Approach on 122.850 at least 10 miles before arrival at EGBF All traffic to call Bedford Radio on 119.025 at least 5 miles before arrival at EGBF Bedford Radio may be unmanned if operating unlicensed – make blind calls On landing please expect to park on Apron C In order that ground transport to the adjacent Bedford Autodrome can be waiting, before taking off please

Departure Instructions: If departing to outside the UK, pilots must ensure the GAR requirements are complied with as below IFR flight plans should be faxed to Cranfield ATC on 01234 754785 before departure IMPORTANT – Cranfield IFR traffic may be overhead EGBF at altitude 2500ft For IFR departures pilots should call Cranfield ATC on 01234 754761 immediately prior to departure Bedford Radio may be unmanned if operating unlicensed – make blind calls Try to depart using runway 26 if possible for noise abatement When departing runway 26, climb straight ahead to 1000 ft AGL When departing runway 08 turn right 20 deg asap after take off and climb 1000 ft AGL All departures should call Cranfield Approach on 122.850 immediately on departure All departures must avoid the Cranfield instrument approach and ATZ If you are attending our PalmerSport event please let your Team Leader know at the end of the day your

preferred departure time so that ground transport can be arranged and aerodrome personnel informed Customs and Immigration Procedures: All arrivals and departures outside of the UK must complete a General Aviation Report (GAR) and fax a
