I am not about to go "industrial" with myfly-tying efforts. However, I do producebatches of flies for clients.
They're tied on top quality, barbless hooksand are constructed to withstand the pikes'impressive array of teeth.I tie my basic 3d streamer (christenedDodds' 3d Dodger by the esteemed editorof Fly-fishing & Fly-tying Magazine) tosuggest specific bait-fish and also in hi-vizpatterns for colored water.I can also build poppers, bombers, rattlersand highly mobile flies with rabbit orraccoon zonker tails.

Tuesday 7th Sept @ 10:3012:30
Presentation @ No.8 by D.W. Dodds
To catch pike consistently throughout the
year, you need to master and employ a
range of techniques. I can show you how
and where to fish at different times of year
to get the best results. A mirror-calm
evening in June may call for a popper in the
lily-fringed margins. A crisp autumn
morning may respond to a 3d streamer
with an intermediate line along the
drop-offs. Settled winter conditions mayfind the pike in deeper water where they
are best targeted with a buoyant, "bomber"
fly on a fast-sinking line. I can teach you
how to handle pike confidently and safely
(both for you and the fish!) My objective
will be to equip you with skills andknowledge that enable you to enjoy
fly-fishing for pike to the full
