QLD FOCUS Whitsunday and Fraser Coast sign
onto Reflect for RMPC management
These two councils became the 35th and 36th Reflect
council sites in Queensland and we are looking forward
the implementation of the software in a couple of
weeks time. After looking at what Reflect has to offer
and comparing to what is available, both sites have
adopted a similar approach by implementing RMPC
database and then moving to other assets at a later
date. The Asset Edge suite of mobile solutions
continue to generate massive interest
across Australia.

Changes to your Reflect Web version are available now
Reflect Windows - New Report feature in ver 2017.1.0
If you don’t have version 2017.1.0 Reflect Windows, give the support desk a call on 1300 219 552 and
they can upgrade your council. There is a new button in Reports Window:
“Sort By Screen”. This sorts the available fields according to the order they
appear on the Explore View grid. This will be helpful especially if the user
has been arranging the Explore View grid to their preferred order and they
would like the same sequence when selecting fields to report on. You can change back to “Sort by
Alphabetical” if you prefer this order to find the fields for your report. Well done Angelo B , another
fantastic addition to the Windows
version as a result of a request by
one of our users.
If you haven't logged into Reflect Web for a while,? you should as there have been may enhance-
ments to this platform. The first thing you will notice is the larger map view. There are many new
tools to customise your screen. Reflect Web is the best choice for reviewing and reporting your elec-
tronic forms. New Forms can be added and existing forms edited. Google map and satellite views
along with the new KML output features are all
proving popular. The access to Web version
continues to be free for unlimited users. Reflect
Web administrators can create new users and
provide limited access to those that login in.

Recover - Natural Disaster Damage Solution—NEWS
New Form 4 (QRA)
One of our Recover councils has been instructed by QRA to
use a new Form 4 from those used in 2016. It has a few
modified and added columns. If you require this new output
please contact the Asset Edge support desk 1300 219 552
and explain you need the Form 4. You may need to send
your provided form to us so we can check for you that it will
work as you require. Asset Edge will continue to work on the
software and reporting to best meet the needs of QRA and the councils.
NEW RELEASE SOON
The date of our release of the new Recover has been held back a little as we have decided to jam in
some great additions to compliment what is already Australia's leading NDRRA Damage Collection
Software. The Restoration module is complete and we will be providing the new version to all Council’
s with a current Software Maintenance agreement for free.
HOW THE AGREEMENTS WORK
56 councils across Australia have a current 16/17 agreement.
The annual agreement outlines Asset Edge commitment supporting the
software, data hosting and services. If your council wishes to signup to
Recover then please contact Donna Hurst [email protected]
IMAGES (LAT/LONG) METADATA
This is becoming more and more critical as QRA and NDRAA guidelines
clearly stipulate this requirement as mandatory when submitting
applications for funding. Recover users can be confident that the
information captured on the field devices retains the coordinates of the
photo which then can be used in analysis and reporting.
Recover Licence The enterprise Licence is for unlimited users and devices for Android and Web ver-
sion of Recover software for the duration of the agreement No fee
Recover Upgrades and fixes All releases for Android/Web version Form Updates as required by State Authorities No fee
Recover Help Desk Support Phone support business hours 9am-5pm No fee

Vigil News - More New Dashboards for TMR
Vigil Surveillance Software in Queensland is now a reality with
five Districts across Qld having direct access to RMPC Reflect
council Defects, Planned Works and Accomplishment records
and images. The NorthWest District holds a Vigil Licence but is
yet to commission the surveillance solution.
Vigil Web and Mobile also allows the TMR Engineers and In-
spectors to record their own surveillance items and Identified
works on the State Classified Road Network. They are also able
to access customised Electronic Forms. In 2017 this information
will be available to council Service Providers with READ ONLY
access through their Reflect Web database

Asset Edge now clear leader in mobile solutions across QLD
In the last four years the team at Asset Edge has
worked very hard to gain the confidence of Local
Councils in Queensland. We now are entering a new
phase and enjoying the co-operative environment
that we have in place in other states. Providing the
support and services expected by every single user
of the software is what we focus on. We anticipate
further take-up of our products in 2017 due to the
confidence in the market and improved system
integration and data management services.

Electronic Forms in Reflect for Compliance (Part 2)
In the last newsletter we discussed Electronic forms in
Reflect to be used for capturing and condition rating
council assets (example Culverts, Grids, Guardrail ).
This newsletter we will look at how Compliance forms can
be created, issued , used and reported on in Reflect. With
the recent addition of Electronic Signatures on the customised
forms, we are seeing councils now replacing paper based
methods at a faster rate than ever seen before.
Some Examples of Compliance Forms are
SITE SAFETY RISK ASSESSMENT FORMS
CONFINED SPACES FORM
WORKING AT HEIGHTS FORM
PRE-START PLANT FORM
HAZARD RISK ASSESSMENT FORM
WORKSITE INDUCTION FORMS
POOL SAFETY COMPLIANCE
The benefits of forms are that they can also have
images attached. Calculations for Risk Scoring using
IF / THEN and other mathematical and logic
functions are available when creating an E-form.
With the introduction of lightweight, fast and
reliable Android Tablets and Phones. The
completion of forms can now be more accurate
(due to mandatory fields) and assessed quickly as they are uploaded to a centralised
server where they can be analysed. Asset Edge also has a library of forms already
created and offered by councils for use by others. For more information on forms call
the support desk on 1300 219 552.

Reflect - Hints and Tips
RMPC Reports - JMRA
It is that time of the year where TMR are requesting JMRA reporting
and data from councils to assist with future funding and other plan-
ning for the highways. We feel the best approach to managing this
process is to record the Works you would like to include as a part
of regular inspections . Then when JMRA time comes around you can
run the report from Reflect Reports - this approach has worked very
well in South West Region For more information call Doug Beal on

F1 for Reflect Windows Help
Just a reminder about these useful Shortcuts.
My favorites are F10, F11 and F12.
The best thing to do is give them all a try and see
if these little shortcuts might save a few minutes in your Reflect day or
just make things a little easier.
Reflect Training for Intermediate and Advanced Users
The Asset Edge office in Maroochydore is very well equipped for one on
one and small group training for those people wanting to take their
Reflect skills and knowledge to another level. Training is customised to
suit the specific needs of the individual and covers all the aspects of the
software from setup, configuration of data, reporting and other advanced
features. It is very well suited for councils expanding the use of Reflect
into new Asset Classes.
