2. TERMINOLOGY Term Definition LISA PATHFINDER, LISA_PF,LISA-PF, LISAPF The complete ESA mission and the corresponding ASU project.
SMART-2 Old name for LISA PATHFINDER.
Launch Composite / Composite The complete space craft comprising of the Propulsion Module and theScience spacecraft.
Propulsion Module A part of the launch composite that is ejected before entering theoperational station
Science Spacecraft
The other part of the launch composite that accomplishes the mission. The Science spacecraft is composed of the Lisa Technology Package and Disturbance Reduction System Payloads, the SpacecraftConstituent Technology, and the platform (see below).
Space segment Same as launch composite. Used when considering the completemission by opposition with the Ground and Launch segments.
Spacecraft Constituent technology Defined by SRD to be the ensemble of FEEP micropropulsion system,Cold Gas micro-propulsion system, and the Drag-Free and Attitude Control System.
Platform The part of the science spacecraft that implements all service functions and accomodates the payload and the Spacecraft ConstituentTechnology.
Spacecraft In general ,Not used to designate any particular spacecraft. More usedas in "spacecraft technology"
