These drives are designed for a wide range ofmachinery applications. Aimed at OEMs who builddrives into machinery, they offer ease of installation andintegration. For many applications the repeatability ofthe drive will have an impact on the quality of themachinery and must therefore be high.

What is an ABB decentralised drive?
An ABB decentralised drive is an integrated motor anddrive package that places the drive near the motor, inareas that are easily accessible. Alternatively, it allowsthe drive to be physically attached to the motor.
The drive and motor are delivered as an integrated,ready-to-use package that are perfectly matched.
Because the drives are close to the process, they mustmeet the requirements of relatively harsh environmentsand the IP class must be high, typically IP 65.
For more demanding applications, an optional IP 65control panel can be used to select from a range ofmore advanced application macros.
Where can it be used?
