ta on the rail together, Na-tional Development andReform Commission pub-lished multiple level railtransit planning of Yang-tze River delta area ( inshort form the planning),after it was approved byYangtze River delta inte-grated development pro-motion leading group. On21 June, the reporterlearnt from municipal de-velopment and reformcommission that in theearly stage Nantong hasbeen negotiating and com-municating with superiorsactively, to introducemore‘Nantong elements’to the planning. There arein total 63 projects whichwill be implemented soonin the planning. Amongthem, projects which arerelated to our city take upabout 10%.In the present, 6 rail-

ways which are related toNantong such as highspeed railway along theYangtze River Hefei- Nan-jing- Shanghai section(north high speed railwayalong the Yangtze River),Nantong- Suzhou- Ningborailway (including the ex-tension in Rugao),Rudong-Nantong-Suzhou-Huzhou intercity railway(Rutongsuhu intercity rail-way), Xinyi- ChangxingRailway capacity expan-sion and alteration, Nan-tong west railway station -Haimen- new airport line(Jianghai express), Nan-tong east railway station -new airport - Tongzhoubay (airport express) arelisted in projects whichwill be carried out soon inthe planning. Nantong newairport station is listed astype II hub, and Nantongstation is listed as type IIIhub. Huchongqi railway isrecognized as long termplanning research project innational level for the firsttime.

On 29 June, atRudong Niujiaosha seawhich is 39 kilometersaway from the coast, asthe blade and generatorbody hub of the lastwind turbine were con-nected precisely, all 805 megawatt wind tur-bines of HuanengShengdong Rudong H3offshore wind farm proj-ect were installed.
