Nantong report Nantong Daily A6 Friday,16 July 2021 Briefly By Peng Junjun few days ago, in order to build the Yangtze River del- ta on the rail together, Na- tional Development and Reform Commission pub- lished multiple level rail transit planning of Yang- tze River delta area ( in short form the planning), after it was approved by Yangtze River delta inte- grated development pro- motion leading group. On 21 June, the reporter learnt from municipal de- velopment and reform commission that in the early stage Nantong has been negotiating and com- municating with superiors actively, to introduce more ‘Nantong elements’ to the planning. There are in total 63 projects which will be implemented soon in the planning. Among them, projects which are related to our city take up about 10%. In the present, 6 rail- ways which are related to Nantong such as high speed railway along the Yangtze River Hefei- Nan- jing- Shanghai section (north high speed railway along the Yangtze River), Nantong- Suzhou- Ningbo railway (including the ex- tension in Rugao), Rudong-Nantong-Suzhou- Huzhou intercity railway (Rutongsuhu intercity rail- way), Xinyi- Changxing Railway capacity expan- sion and alteration, Nan- tong west railway station - Haimen- new airport line (Jianghai express), Nan- tong east railway station - new airport - Tongzhou bay (airport express) are listed in projects which will be carried out soon in the planning. Nantong new airport station is listed as type II hub, and Nantong station is listed as type III hub. By then, Huaneng Rudong offshore wind farm proj- ect was completed. The total installed capacity reached 700 thousand kilowatts. It is the larg- est project in China up to now. Huaneng Rudong off- shore wind farm project in- cludes two phases. The to- tal investment is over 12 billion Yuan. Phase 1 Rudong Baxianjiao off- shore wind power project is the 1st offshore wind farm of Huaneng group. It was connected to the grid with full capacity on 30 September 2017. Phase 2 project is expected to be in operation with full ca- pacity by the end of the month. After Huaneng Rudong offshore wind farm is in operation completely. 150 wind turbines can gener- ate as much as 1.75 billion kilowatts to the grid per year, which can satisfy the demand of 1 million households in a year. The arrival of Air Macau meant the official launch of Nantong- Macau flight. At the early stage of Nantong- Macau flight, four return flights will be operated every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The flight takes 2 and a half hours. It is the third destinations of Air Macau in Jiangsu, after Nanjing and Changzhou. It gleamed against Nantong grand theatre by Zilang lake. The external shape of Nantong Art Museum is like a art box which lights imagination. It tells the flexible and ac- cessible art atmosphere of Nantong culture. The total floor area of the hall is about 32 thou- sand square meters. The height of the building is 24 m. There are in total 21 professional exhibition halls in the museum, and international lecture halls, multi- function halls, meeting rooms and collection storage rooms. When it was open, six theme painting exhibi- tions were launched. Close to 700 works of about 500 artists were exhibited. The works in- clude Chinese paintings, calligraphy, engraving and oil paintings. The ex- hibition will last more than one month. The volunteer appli- cation is classified into individual application and group application. Individual applicants shall be between 22 to 62 years old, stay, work, or study in Nan- tong for long term. There is no restriction in nationality. And they shall be able to serve at least once per week, no less than 3 hours per time, no less than 12 hours per month, and no less than 114 hours in total per year. They shall speak standard mandarin, express fluent- ly, and people who can communicate in foreign languages have priority. The voluntary work po- sitions include two major types, exhibition hall ser- vice includes security check, order maintenance, tour guide, photography and words editing; exhibi- tion hall guides work on narrative service inside the hall.
