Dear Parents and Guardians,
During the school year, we recognize student efforts in becoming good citizens by giving out “PALS” to those who display positive qualities. We use our “PAL’ing Around Days” and our “All School Assemblies” throughout the year to take time and celebrate our students for the positive actions and decisions they make here at school. We believe it is important to take that time and celebrate our achievements with one another in order to build a close-knit community. As a professional learning community, the staff members at Prairieview have the opportunity to recognize their colleagues each week by awarding them a FISH (an acknowledgement of a job well done). May 7th begins Teacher Appreciation Week, and we take this time, as an entire school community, to honor all of our staff members that go above and beyond to make Prairieview a special place for kids.
Throughout the year your kind words and notes let our teachers know how much you appreciate their efforts. While we are always proud of our dedicated staff, during this week we place special emphasis on celebrating and honoring them. If you have experienced an exceptional act of service by a Prairieview staff member, please take the time this week to let them know. A simple note highlighting your teacher’s special qualities could make a staff member’s day, even their year!
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to all of the staff members in Community Consolidated School District #46! Also, a special thank you to all our parents for being partners in your child’s education.
Sincerely,
Vince Murray Principal

Estimados Padres y/o Encargados,
Sinceramente,
Vince Murray Principal

Finally, many businesses and organizations donated their time to make this day special for the kids at Prairieview – please see the attached flyer for a list of those that donated their time and resources – and if you happen to frequent their businesses or see them around, be sure to thank them! If you would like any additional information about any of the businesses or organizations that presented sessions today, please get in touch with Jennifer Richard at [email protected] or Melanie Bruce at [email protected] .
