1.7. INFORMATION ON REVISIONS
This is the first version of this report.
2. CONSTRUCTION OF SPECIMEN
2.1. GENERAL
The investigated construction was a glazed partition consisting of: - Reynaers aluminium frame profiles type ‘CS 77-FP (EI60)’; - Vetrotech glass panes, type ‘Contraflam 60-3’ and ‘Contraflam 60-3 CLIMAPLUS’.
Details of the construction can be found in the technical drawings, figures in chapter 8.
2.2. TEST FRAME
The test frame was composed of steel profiles with a concrete inner frame (density of 2400 kg/m3). The test frame had an installation opening of 4000 x 3500 mm (w x h) and an installation depth of 230 mm.
2.3. SUPPORTING CONSTRUCTION
The test frame was used as the supporting construction. The dimensions of the aperture were 4000 x 3500 mm (w x h). The specimen was connected on both top, bottom and left side to the supporting construction. The right side of the specimen was not attached to the supporting construction, since it was a ‘free edge’. Since the specimen would not completely fill the aperture a triangle of dry walling (532 x 532 mm) was constructed in the upper left corner. This consisted of 2 x 12.5 mm gypsum board and profiles with a width of 70 mm. The frame was fixed in the dry wall by the use of Fischer metal plugs.
2.4. ALUMINIUM FRAME
The investigated construction consisted of a Reynaers aluminium frame type ‘CS 77-FP (EI60)’, glazed with 3 glass panes of type ‘Contraflam 60-3’ and 3 glass panes of type ‘Contraflam 60-3 CLIMAPLUS’. The overall dimensions of the partition were 3940 x 3450 mm (width x height). The left upper corner of the partition was diagonal (sides 500 x 500 mm). The aluminium frame was connected to the test frame and the dry wall by means of steel screws (without plugs) with dimensions 7.5 x 152 mm with a c.t.c. distance of less than 800 mm.
Profiles 2.4.1.
The profiles of the outer aluminium frame with part no. 008.0125.XX were connected at the upper corners by the use of corner cleats with part no. 068.8842.00 and part no. 068.8905.00. The profile beneath pane C (for reference see page 5) had part no. 008.0142.XX. The inner aluminium mullions had part no. 008.0114.XX. The transom profile with part no. 008.0155.XX was located between panes A and D, transom profile with part no. 008.0114.XX was located between panes B and E, transom profile with part no. 008.3824.XX was located between panes C and F. The transoms and mullions were connected by the use of T-brackets with part

5.3. UNCERTAINTY OF MEASUREMENT
This report details the method of construction, the test conditions and the results obtained when the specific element of construction described herein was tested following the procedure outlined in EN 1363-1, and where appropriate EN 1363-2. Any significant deviation with respect to size, constructional details, loads, stresses, edge or end conditions other than those allowed under the field of direct application in the relevant test method is not covered by this report. Because of the nature of fire resistance testing and the consequent difficulty in quantifying the uncertainty of measurement of fire resistance, it is not possible to provide a stated degree of accuracy of the result.
5.4. PICTURES
The photo’s in appendix C give an impression of the test specimen before, during and after the fire test.
6. SUMMARY
The fire resistance according to EN 1364-1 was determined for a of a non-load bearing glazed partition consisting of Reynaers aluminium frame profiles type ‘CS 77-FP (EI60)’ and Vetrotech glass panes type ‘Contraflam 60-3’ and ‘Contraflam 60-3 CLIMAPLUS’.
