THE RISK MARKET DAY
Last Sunday, the school ran its bi-annual Market Fun Day in the school grounds. The weather was kind to us after a postponement in June. The day was very successful with many locals and visitors spending part of their Sunday enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of our wonderful school. Staff, parents, families and students worked very hard to get everything ready and keep it going throughout the day. Congratulations to the Market Day coordinator, Catrina Dyer, who did a fantastic job. Well done to Jane Duley, P&C president, who organised the wonderful canteen offerings! Yum! In fact, well done to everyone who assisted. A special thanks to 5 students, Tom, Xavier, Felicity, Rachael and Isabella who performed an entertainment item on the day!

COLOURSS CULTURAL DAY FRIDAY 25 AUGUST
The school is busy preparing a Muppet Show play for the annual COLOURSS Cultural Day at the Uniting Church Hall, Kyogle on Friday 25 August starting at 10am. ALL parents, family and friends are strongly encouraged to come along on the day to see the performances from all the schools because they are always of a high standard!
Our P&C has been allocated the catering job for this event so parents are asked to start baking and freezing goodies for this event as it is very popular and the crowd loves home made goods!!
All students are involved in the show. After lunch, all students participate in traditional ball games and each school enters a tug-o-peace team for a bit of fun to finish the day. More details next week.
PREMIERS SPELLING BEE WINNERS
Last Tuesday, primary students had a spelling competition to see which 4 students would represent our school at the Regional Final on Wednesday 6 September at Bilambil PS. In stage 2, the winners were Charlie Brosnan & Isabella Rixon. In stage 3, the winners were Eli Hausen and Xavier Cook. Congratulations to these students.
