Zombies

Thinking back to the stereotypical zombie, we can infer that only the ludicrous will become infected; however, over the years the

development of the zombie specimen has become somewhat of a more lethal figure.

The Walking Dead, Call of Duty, and books have plunged the zombie

franchise into a whole new level. These new demonic creatures are truly menacing and nightmare worthy.

The beginning was nothing more than bulged eyes and incoherent speech and as of the present they have converted into a decaying,

deranged, delinquents, with a struggled limp (at times, in some situations, movement that resembles a run/jog), sunken eyes, large teeth, bleak white iris’ and keeping the incoherent speech, to make them come across as unintelligible things that only care about their

next meal.

Social Media’s Twist on Zombie’s

TV programmes, such as The Walking Dead, has made a new era for the Zombie evolution; they have used a gory take on zombies (or

geeks/walkers, in their case) to make the programme more nauseating and ‘realistic’.

Further on in the series, you start to notice that the zombies are becoming withered as the stages of decay start to set in; The Walking Dead also uses logic of the decomposition of the human body so, they

can have a more perishing physique as the series continues.

Movies, like Warm Bodies, have a complete unique look on zombies as they focus on the zombie protagonist feelings. In my opinion, a zombie love story is sort-of ridiculous - they are supposed to rip out your guts,

not smother you in hugs.

Even games have got in on the gruesome act. For example the likes of Call of Duty, have developed another way to make zombie’s more of a heart wrenching experience: glowing eyes emerging out of the abyss,

grey-pale skin that’s peeling away to reveal a dull white of bone, a small mouth but with terrifyingly ridged teeth and having the frayed clothing

they died in.
