Narrative -

• White zombie (1932) - is about a women who on her wedding night is turned into a zombie by a voodoo master, and after finding out she isn’t dead her husband sets out to find her.• Zombies on Broadway (1945)– two agents, search for a zombie after

being ordered to by their old gangsta boss’ new club.• Night of the zombies (1981) – Investigators look into the disappearance

of soldiers bodies. Two men are found dead by the CIA and rumours of zombies begin to appear.• Zombie diaries(2006's) – A deadly virus is spreading over the

population, the population starts turning into zombies, includes documentaries of the last days of the apocalypse.

Iconography –

• white zombie (1932) - uses props such as a coffin, guns and a knife, and also the setting of a grave yard.• Zombies on Broadway (1945)- All white outfits, suits and hat. Mist

and dark setting. Shovel, graveyard and science lab equipment.• Night of the zombies (1981) –Guns, smoke bombs, helmets, ripped

clothes, blood.• Zombie diaries (2006) – normal people documentaries, modern,

cars, trucks, spotlights, guns.

Characters -

• White zombie (1932) - There is a protagonist and an antagonist, one of which is a victim. There are 5 main characters. • Zombies on Broadway (1945) - Two press agents, a boss who would

be the antagonist and a zombie.• Night of the zombies (1981) – The investigators, the missing soldiers

who would be the victims, and the zombies who would be the antagonists.• Zombie diaries (2006) – As the whole planet becomes infected with

this virus they become the victims of this films. However there are some survivors and some more survivors who are then attacked.

Setting -

• white zombie (1932) - this film is set in America, during the night time. the scenes are set in spooky buildings such as the vampires house, a church and outside in the graveyard.• Zombies on Broadway (1945)- Is set in America, at a night club and

then they head to a Caribbean island. • Night of the zombies (1981) – the film starts of being set in a small

native village and then they move through New Guinea jungle.• Zombie diaries (2006) – this film is set in England, more specifically

the city of London, and then they move into the countryside.

Style -

• White zombie (1932) – This film is in black and white. It includes non diegetic and diegetic sounds, the non diegetic sound includes a male voice over, with the occasional eerie music. The diegetic sound is screaming of the characters and sounds of objects.• Zombies on Broadway (1945)-This film is in black and white.• Night of the zombies (1981) – This film is in colour.• Zombie diaries (2006) –This film is in colour. It is in the style of a

documentary and the camera is constantly cutting from documentary to shots of the zombies attacking.
