Thesailing team is located out of the Club. Being on the lake encouragesour children to value the lake and our environment.Many childrenhave learned to swim and sail, families gather there, the communityof Winchester is enhanced by the Boat Club as it is enhanced bythe Swim and Tennis and Country Club. These institutions bringcohesiveness and community to the town. It is so disappointing thata few disgruntled people who have known about the club for a longtime are threatening an institution that encompasses so much ofthe values that Winchester espouses.

In fact, the inclusiveness andopenness of the club is one of its strongest assets. TheWBC has been the longest land owner in the neighborhood andrestrictions to the use of it's land is unfair.
