Project Details:

A major upgrade was required to increase the capacity of an operational gas trunk receiving station (TRS) owned by ActewAGL, in Fyshwick, ACT.

Zinfra project managed all aspects of the design, construction and commissioning, including: civil, mechanical and instrumentation.

Construction included both below-ground and above-ground works:

• Foundations

• Trunk receiving station runs

• Gas heater

• Connecting three-phase electricity

• Upgrading the security fence; and

• New pipework

A new building was constructed to house the control room, plant room, generator room and amenities.

A complete shutdown of the existing facility was required to enable key tie-in points to be constructed. Zinfra and contractors delivered the required works within a tight timeframe through careful planning, management and execution.

Our Experience.

Project Details:

Zinfra was contracted to complete the construction of the gas supply augmentation works for the Nova Power Traralgon Gas Power Station in Victoria. A new dedicated gas supply line was constructed from the Longford to Dandenong Transmission Pipeline located 2.5km north of the Traralgon site.

Scope of works included construction on both the transmission and distribution assets including:

• Construction safety management plan

• A Class 600 gas transmission pipeline

• A Class 600 pressure reduction station with heater

• A Supply main 525m 150NB steel and 675m 180mm PE pipe.

Zinfra project managed and delivered works including fabrication, assembly and coating of various assets, open trench pipeline laying, horizontal directional drilling, steel and butt fusion welding, hydrotesting, civil and concrete works, working around existing assets, and testing and commissioning support.

Project Details:

Zinfra constructed 800m of steel gas main DN100, Class 600 and API 5L x 42 pipe in Yarwun, Queensland. The new pipe had to be installed under an existing railway line which meant installation, hydro testing and commissioning had to be done in a very small time frame to minimise disruption to the rail schedule.

The works included:

• Welding

• Adherence to Zinfra, APA Group and Aurizon (rail) safety management systems

• Worker mobilisation

• Horizontal directional drilling and open trench works

• Hydro Testing

• Backfill, restoration and demobilisation
