• We do not expect Outlook to switch to EWS – Huge codebase of Outlook

– EWS is missing some functionality

– Would weaken current strong position of MS Exchange

– No drive for MS to do this

• Desktop integration–Aim is to provide fat-client-like features for WebApp

• Plugins and widgets–WebApp provides platform for integration

–Binds various parts of communication together

• Will replace WebAccess as default web frontend
