Situated in the historic City of Ripon, this famous and favourite hotel has perfect options for your wedding day. The delightful private gardens offer superb options for photo opportunities and heaven forbid (in Yorkshire) should the weather be a little inclement then we can offer a romantic staircase, roaring log fires and dramatic floral displays for your photo backdrops.

Our opulent Ballroom is our principal wedding suite for numbers from 75 - 120 guests with comfort. There is a private bar leading to the gardens so on balmy summer evenings your guests will enjoy drinks on the terrace.

The Garden Room is perfect for the smaller wedding for up to twenty guests and this room leads onto the Terrace and gardens for photos.

The Terrace Room with a private reception and bar is for up to 75 guests and you’ll enjoy the views over the gardens whilst enjoying our delicious food.

Arranging Your C ivil CeremonyWe are an approved premises for the solemnization of Civil Weddings and Partnerships. We are delighted to offer the following, as guidance only, for couples who are looking for a stylish alternative to the traditional church ceremony or register office, or simply because it works so well to have everything under one roof from start to finish! The hire of the Ceremony Room at the hotel to include floral display on the top table will be £400.00.

The couple wishing to marry must contact the Superintendent Registrar themselves to confirm the date and time for the ceremony.

Once you have made your reservation with the Registrar, you will receive a letter confirming the date of the ceremony, time and at which place they will need to give notice of their intention to marry and the time scales involved. At this stage you will be advised of the documents required by yourselves and of the fees to be paid and when. The hotel cannot be responsible for any of the official arrangements with the Registrar for your Civil Ceremony or Partnership.

Staying OverWe have a selection of delightful bedrooms so everyone is welcome. From experience it is lovely when friends and family stay the night before the wedding too when we can serve a private dinner and give you time to get to know each other and also to explore a little of the history of this ancient and beautiful City. Our best rates are for a two nights’ stay.Price per room for two guests to include a hearty Yorkshire breakfast and VAT

Terms & C onditionsTHESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLY TO ALL EVENTS.“Client” means the person purchasing the services. “Hotel” means Ripon Spa Hotel. “Services” means the services to be provided by the hotel to the client as set out in the event planner.CHARGES AND PAYMENTS.The price of the services is that which is set out in the event planner issued by the hotel. The hotel reserves the right to amend the price upon written notice to the client in order to reflect any changes in the costs beyond the reasonable control of the hotel (including changes in VAT rates). The client will be asked to confirm acceptance of the increased price. A non-refundable deposit of £500 is payable to secure the booking. A further non-refundable payment of 50% of the total estimated value is payable six months’ prior to the event. The final balance is payable on agreement of final number and details 30 days prior to the event.CANCELLATION BY THE CLIENT.The deposit is always non-refundable and non-transferable.Any cancellations or postponement should be advised to the management of the Hotel in the first instance verbally. All cancellations must be put in writing subsequently.If the cancellation is made with less than six months’ notice then the mid-term payment is also non-refundable and non-transferable.The hotel strongly recommends wedding insurance cover.CONFIRMATION BY THE CLIENT.Not less than 30 days prior to the event date, the final numbers and function details must be confirmed to the hotel for final billing.The booked numbers specified 30 days prior to the function date will be taken as the minimum number to be charged for.There is no refund once final numbers are agreed and final payment made.AMENDMENTS OR CANCELLATIONS BY THE HOTEL.Should the hotel for reasons beyond its control, need to make any amendments to the Contract, it reserves the right to offer an alternative choice of facilities.The hotel may cancel the Contract if the booking might in the reasonable opinion of the Hotel, prejudice the reputation of the hotel. If the hotel or any part of it is closed or damaged due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE.The availability of the function suite will be from 7.00 am on the day of the event.Bedroom accommodation is available from 3 .00 pm on the day of arrival, and vacated by 11.00 on day of departure, unless specific alternative arrangements have been agreed.

OUTSIDE CONTRACTORSOutside suppliers must ensure that all equipment is PAT tested and up to date. They must have the relevant Public Liability insurance. Any entertainment must adhere to the hotel policy regarding noise levels and finishing times.Contractors must read and sign a statement drawing attention to the Health and Safety procedures within the hotel. The hotel does not permit any outside caterers on the premises.GENERALThe Hotel reserves the right to refuse any externally arranged entertainment, services or activities that the client may have arranged and cannot accept any liability for any resultant costs. Should any of the guests of the Client be unable to correct any aspect of poor behaviour or activities unacceptable to the Hotel, the Hotel reserves the right to terminate the contract. Should this occur no monies will be refunded to the Client and the Hotel’s decision is final. The costs of repairing any damage caused to the property, contents or grounds of the Hotel by the Client or its guests, must be reimbursed to the Hotel by the Client.No alcohol wines, spirits or soft drinks; or foods brought into the Hotel may be consumed on the premises. The Hotel will not be liable for any failure to provide or delay in providing facilities, services, food or beverages, as a result of events or matters outside its reasonable control. The Hotel name, logo and telephone number cannot be used in any advertising or publicity without the prior knowledge and consent of the Hotel. The client is responsible for ensuring that any band or musician employed by it complies with statutory requirements of the Hotel.It is a term of letting that goods and services cannot be bought or sold on the premises and no tickets may be sold at the door.The Hotel must comply with certain licensing and statutory regulations and required the Client to fulfil the obligations in this respect.The Hotel is concerned for the Health and Safety of its guests and that of the Hotel. The Client is required to obtain the prior written approval of the Hotel if it wishes to fix items to the walls, floors or ceilings.Unless specific security arrangements are made with the Hotel, the Hotel accepts no responsibility for any Client equipment or other Client property left in the Hotel, except within the terms of the Hotel Proprietors Act.SERVICE CHARGEService charge is not included in the prices, we suggest £250 is added to the account for a nominal service charge for the Spa Team.
