Last thing he said to us was that it looks too expensive. As far as our grievance concerningthe “man bun” issue. We persuaded mgt to let the member have his hair up in a ponytail or cap. Aslong as you look neat and clean it wont be a problem. As far as T. H.’s issue, AMR stated there is nogrievance concerning him and they will not be hiring him back! We will let Fernie handle this now. B. Josh S made the following report:1. Riggs- Grievances at step one, refusals of mandate dispatch and field in process but corrected ofollow progressive disciplinary policy, they were trying to jump steps. 2ndgrievance, driving while textingon camera finalized at step 1, a written warning. Step 2 grievances- an issue with wages not beingfixed, a phone conference with E-board and Fernie finalized and in place now. Idrive cameras inambulance, finalized policy in place. Points of concern- station 51 not up to contract agreement nokitchen/separate rooms. Status 5 rules being followed for 24 hour and 12 hour cars. Equal pay forincentives dispatch/EMTs get less then medics. Also the policy they put out about the 30-day notice forhotels flights etc to be exempt from mandate.C. Lee A on USW conference- 1. The USW conference was well attended. We hope all delegates that attended we’re able to get a lotfrom the sessions. Urge all to use information learned to better serve our membership. 2. PDA- Bob and Fernie are pushing to get back to the negotiation table. We are trying to get moreclarification on the arbitration we recently won. We won on the fact the manager was punitive to theemployee. Therefore that is why the arbitrator ruled on giving him the job and lost pay back. We didn’twin on the seniority issue because the article was vague. 3. Sierra Ambulance- An arbitrator has been selected concerning bringing back a supervisor back intothe bargaining group. We are waiting on dates from her/him to set the date. We met with the manageron the company adding an 11her shift day unit. It will be a 44-hour workweek. They agreed to sameannual pay as 60-hour unit. 4. Pistoresi Ambulance-Kenny met with mgt on 8-1-18 on a step one grievance concerninginadequate stations. Mgt doesn’t feel they are violating anything. PRN Ambulance- Lee sent Fernie an email and told him that he is tired and done spending moneyon bullshit. We need to turn up the heat and hit the streets picketing! Lee & Fernie met with Marianaand we will be moving forward with a 10-day notice before their next negotiations. Lee will be gettinghelp from local 7600, Kaiser and possibly local 411 USW San Bernardino. As far as Lee is concernedit is time to stop the bullshit of lagging negotiations in LA!
