CertifiCation Mark Usage gUidelines

Certified ScrumMaster Round SealYou’ve earned a Scrum Alliance® certification – congratulations! Let the world know about your achieved level of Scrum expertise by displaying a certification seal.

Once you’ve completed all requirements for certification, the appropriate certification seal will be available in your profile. This brief guide will help you use your certification seal most effectively.

Certification seals are the property of Scrum Alliance. In downloading them, you agree to accept a nonexclusive and nontransferable worldwide license to use, reproduce, and publicly display them. This license is limited to your use only in connection with promoting your specific certification status with your membership in Scrum Alliance. The license applies exclusively to the certification seal and does not include any other Scrum Alliance marks. It is also exclusive to you and does not grant any rights to your affiliates to use the certification seal independent from you. However, you are entitled to use the certification seal in cooperation with your affiliates for purposes directly related to the promotion of activities appropriate to your certification.

The certification seal, featuring the certification acronym (e.g., CSPO), can be used on materials, such as:

• Your Scrum Alliance profile• Business cards• Business website• Email signature• Resume• Training course descriptions• Training or coaching materials• Marketing materials• Business stationery

The suggested uses above are not required. The following questions may help you determine where to use the certification seal:

• Who is my audience?• How familiar are they with Scrum and

Scrum Alliance?• Will they know what the acronym means?• How much space do I have for the seal?• Will the size of the graphic enable people

to read the words?

Correct use:

• Use the icons as provided.• Use the appropriate format.• Use the icons as evidence of only

your certification.

Formats:

Your certification seal is available in a variety of formats. These formats follow, along with their recommended uses:

• JPEG – compressed file, for use in print• PNG – compressed file with transparent

background, for use in print• PNG RGB – compressed file with transparent

background, best for digital use

Incorrect use:

• Do not change the icon colors.• Do not distort proportions.• Do not tilt or rotate icons.• Do not outline the icons.• Do not bevel, emboss, or add a glow around

the icons.• Do not place a white box around the icons

on busy backgrounds.• Do not recreate or replace with any other elements.
