Our farmers
Known as the Dragon Fruit in English and as Pitahaya in Spanish, and also as Pitaya, Picajon, Yaurero o Warakko. It is crop that grows in cactus species called Hylocereus and Selenicerus. There are two varieties, yellow and red. Yellow one is a fruit thorny, measures 9 cm large and 7 cm width. When it born its appearance is green and then it becomes yellow when it is ripe.
Our commitment is to boost the development of the Colombian agriculture working next to the farmers from Cundinamarca department. We turn them in one of our mainly axes for all our export processes. As a policy, Colombian Export Fruits give technical support to the farmers in order to establish Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). Also to implement environmental friendly supplies, to have technical efficiency in the harvest and improvements in their social conditions seeking to establish fair payments for their activities. We believe that fulfilling these purposes, we ensure the quality of our fruits to be competitive for the international markets.
