the signs begin to stand straight they should raise their

heads. “There will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the

stars, people will die of fright in anticipation of what is

coming upon the world.”

The message of the Gospel is similar to when we get

caught up in the moment. As young people, we sometimes

forget about the bigger picture and end up missing out on

helping others because of it. God wants us to live a good

and happy life without getting caught up in the moment.

We can do this by being kind to

one another and remembering to

help those in need. We can think

and what Jesus would think of us

through His eyes. When we are

in a tough situation we can ask

ourselves WWJD (What Would

Jesus Do).

This Sunday we begin our new liturgical year with the

First Sunday of Advent. The Universal Norms for the

Liturgy notes, “Advent has a twofold character, for it is
