Newsletter
Staff
Dear Friends:

We are all the way to November and the year is fly-
ing by. In this month’s newsletter you will find
many new special events and seminars. On Tuesday,
November 30th we will be decorating the Center for
the Holidays. There will also be a seminar by our
Fire Chief regarding fire safety during the Holidays.
There will be seminars on the free Genesee Dental
Health Plan. This is a fabulous program many peo-
ple are unaware of and may save you a lot of money.
East Michigan Legal Service will discuss why some
people have no other choice than bankruptcy. You
will learn what bankruptcy can and cannot do. It is
good information to know.
Veterans Day also falls in November. We have a
special luncheon on the 11th to recognize our Veter-
an members. Please bring in a picture we may dis-
play during that week. Chili and cornbread will be
free for our service men and women. Everyone is
welcome, nonveterans the cost of lunch is $3.00.
Thanksgiving lunch will be served. I’m happy to
say “not in TV trays”. Come and enjoy the fellow-
ship of others with a good warm Thanksgiving meal.
We have come to the end of our 2021 walking club
season. I am so proud of the work so many of you
have put into your health this year! We walked, try-
ing to get the equivalent miles of walking, to Chica-
go. Five people made this goal as of the time of print-
ing! Whether you made it to Chicago or not, take
pride in doing this for your health. Some got to Lan-
sing while others made it to Chicago and are nearly
all the way back! Every mile is a mile towards better
health. We will start back up in the Spring with a
new goal. Hopefully more of you will give this a try.
The Blue Cat Band will be here on November 10th
for a FREE concert. These guys are fantastic! There
is a dinner afterwards if you wish to stay. A COVID
Booster Clinic will be on November 30th. Pfizer and
(Moderna and Johnson & Johnson if approved).
More information on page 9 regarding these two
events.
During this time of year I always think about the
year’s happenings and we have much to be thankful
for this year. For me, it is my wonderful family and
all of you! I truly feel blessed to be here with you.
Jennifer, Ruth and I wish you a Happy
Thanksgiving! Warmest Regards,
Jean
