Dear Friends,
The Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation’s Fiscal Year 2018 was very successful, all thanks to you.
Lexington boasts a newly renovated Cardiac Thoracic Vascular Health Unit (CTVU) at Saint Joseph Hospital made possible by a generous $1.5 million gift to the Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation by Amy and Michael P. Thornton in memory of his mother Wilma H. Thornton.
In London and Berea, we helped launch a program to help patients with unmet basic human needs have better access to the services they need for their health and well-being, thanks to a more than $1.1 million grant from the prestigious Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
The Saint Joseph Mount Sterling Foundation launched inaugural scholarships to three deserving staff members at Saint Joseph Mount Sterling Hospital. These scholarships will help employees further their education and ultimately will help them provide even better care to the patients we serve.
We have much to celebrate, but more work is ahead. As we look forward to another great year, we are filled with gratitude for all you’ve done to make healthcare in our community stronger than ever.
Thank you for your ongoing commitment to support our mission of providing healing and hope to all.
Sincerely,
Leslie Buddeke Smart, CFREFoundation President
