MATHEMATICS (60 minutes) Warm Up - Complete Set 26.1 column of the ‘Maths Mentals’ in your booklet. This week we are learning about division. Complete the Seesaw task you have been assigned called ‘W8 Division - Wednesday’. For this activity you will need to:

1. Watch Miss Chue's video. 2. Using your knowledge of division mental

strategies solve the questions. 3. Either use the drawing tool to show all your

working or work them out in your exercise book and upload a photo of it.

4. Complete the worksheets in your booklet.

Revision: Try to complete the Fractions activity on Mathletics at some point this week. Fast Finishers / Optional Maths Continue on with the ‘Matharoo’ worded problems found in your Monday and Tuesday booklet. BRAIN BREAK (5 mins) Visualise a triangle around the perimeter of your garden or patio.

● Start by jumping on the spot while you say your 3 Times Table. Jog to the next corner.

● Touch your toes while you say your 6 Times Table. Jog to the next corner.

● Knee bends while you say your 9 Times Table. Jog back to the beginning.

Turn on the timer, repeat for five minutes. HISTORY - (40 mins) In what ways might we acknowledge the Cammeraygal people? This task is on Seesaw. Look at and listen to the information on each slide about the conflict between the Aboriginal people and the British.

1. Think about the question ‘In what ways might we acknowledge the Cammeraygal people?’

2. Imagine you have won a government grant to put together a plan for the Lindfield community to acknowledge and commemorate the Cammeraygal people.

3. Brainstorm the different ways that we could pay tribute to the first people of Lindfield. 4. Devise an action plan for your idea OR create a poster to advertise the tribute. 5. Write your plan or create your poster either directly on to the Seesaw activity or in your

exercise book and upload a photograph of it.

Lunch Wellbeing Wednesday (60 mins) How are you? We care about how you are feeling, what you are proud of and what is challenging for you at the moment. 1. BRAIN BREAK (5 mins) Visualise a little circle in the garden or on the patio. Move around your circle while you do the following animal movements.

• Gallop like a horse. • Jump like a frog. • Swim like a fish. • Flutter like a butterfly. • Hop like a kangaroo.

Turn on the timer, repeat for five minutes. You might like to change directions so that you don’t get dizzy.

MUSIC (30 mins) This task needs to be submitted to Mrs. Burbage for feedback. Go to Seesaw. Work through the ‘W8 Music’ activity. Click on the links to listen to the music. 1. On page 3 record your rhythm. 2. On page 4 state how many counts each note has. 3. Submit your work for feedback.

READING Independent Reading (20 mins) The Reading Reflection should be uploaded on Friday when you have completed four reflections.

1. Read a book of your own choice for 15 minutes or read the e-book assigned to you by your teacher. Teachers will email you if you have an e-book assigned.

2. Complete a Reading Reflection in your booklet or on Seesaw. You may choose to make a connection, visualise what you read, make a prediction or summarise the section of text. Use the pages in your booklet, then photograph them and upload to Seesaw OR answer directly on to the ‘W8 Reading Reflection’ Seesaw activity.

3. Save as a draft until Friday.

Think about what your special man would like to receive. You might like to do one, two or all of the activities! Look in your booklet for the templates. The activities are:

• A card (choose a template or make your own!) • A poem on a rainbow to go inside the card • A set of vouchers where you can give Dad 'an act of kindness' • A little box to make and put the vouchers in as a gift.
