They undertake detailed investigation and present their findings as part of a digital portfolio which is submitted in stages at key dates via the VLE. They consider the impact on society of the theme they are undertaking and investigating along with economic and social effects. This research informs the creation of a personal design brief which will evolve into a usable product.
GCSE NEA: Section B – Producing a design brief and specification. Students produce a comprehensive design brief which clearly justifies how they have considered their client’s user needs and wants and links directly to the context selected. Students produce a comprehensive justified design specification that allows them to fully understand the product they will be designing.
