Words from President REV UP YOUR ENGINES
With the start of May things will really be picking up. There will be all the usual shows and events to par-ticipate in along with a few events to celebrate the clubs 50th anniversary. What a milestone.
As I write this the Pocono trip is about to take place. What a great experience. I would encourage every-one to do this at least once. Thank you to Tom Ranc, Ed Heindel and the rest of the W.O.T. team for
putting this event together for the club. They do a first class job.
The club just participated in the Spring Carlisle Auto Auction. Thanks go to Program Director Mike Boyer for the coordination and to everyone who helped to drive and push for this 3 day event. YCCC has estab-lished a relationship with Corvettes of Buffalo and special thanks go out to this Buffalo, NY club who sent 10 members down to participate in the auction representing YCCC. Everyone did a wonderful job and we
hope to see them again soon.
Our club’s Thornton Corvette Fun Show is Saturday May, 5th. Come on out a have some fun and show some support for both YCCC and our sponsor Thornton Chevrolet.
We’ve had some new members join the club recently. Please take time to introduce yourself and wel-come them to the club. We’re all here because we enjoy the camaraderie our joint interest in Corvettes bring. We’re always looking for new members to share in the enjoyment we all experience in Corvette
ownership and YCCC membership.
As we continue throughout the year, take time to pray for and stay in contact with members and their families that may be in poor health or just need someone to talk too. If you are aware of someone who
has been under the weather, give them a call and say hi and let Luke or one of the other board members know.
Lastly remember my theme, let’s have fun and drive those Corvettes.
Your friend and President, Mike Navecky

YCCC Membership Meeting— Apr 11, 2018
YCCC has been invited to participate in a parade in
Tower City, PA on June 30, 2018. This parade is for a
city celebration. Watch Google Groups and future
meetings for more details.
The 4th of July parade in New Freedom is scheduled
for July 7. Our club has participated in this parade
for the last couple of years. It’s a very good parade
and the people turn out. We are permitted to toss
candy from our cars. This parade follows the Mar-
kets at Shrewsbury Show. We caravan from the
Amish Markets to the parade in New Freedom. After
the parade, we have dinner as a group at Seven Res-
taurant in New Freedom.
Open For Discussion From The Floor – Barb Gary
asked Scott Fredericks if the NCCC cards we received
in the mail are for one year or multiple years. Scott
replied that the cards we just received are for one
year, 2018 only. The NCCC is looking into issuing
multi-year cards in 2019.
Barb Gary reported that the proposed Membership
Book celebrating our 50th year may cost $800 for
printing. Barb asked for a motion to approve this
expenditure. Motion – authorize Barb Gary to
spend up to $1000 on the printing of the Member-
ship Book – seconded, passed.

From the Governor
Hello YCCC Members,
As the car show season quickly leaps upon us, here are a few
tips to keep in mind to have a stressful free and fun filled show:
(1) Be sure to have your NCCC Club Card available at all times
(this is the card with your NCCC number on it) at the show
so you can quickly and correctly get your points and get
attendance for the show.
(2) The Governor of that show has approx. 2-3 weeks to add
the results of the show (the points) to the NCCC database.
Be patient waiting on your points please.
(3) If the car show has games or other activities that are being
played for the sanctions, please be sure to play and sign in
at each “station”. This will be how you will earn your
points. Bel Air’s show a few weeks ago had a game for each
sanction that had to be played. Not all shows do this but
some do.
(4) Even if you are pre-registered for a show, once you get on
the show grounds, you will still need to go to the registra-
tion area to sign in and get your info and goody bags (if ap-
plicable). This goes for ALL shows including those that YCCC
hosts.
(5) Please be sure to sign the waiver at each show if there is
one. This is usually found at the registration area or when
you enter the show grounds. This waiver is for NCCC and
their insurance company. YCCC will have waivers at all 4
shows.
(6) Be sure to bring your camera and lawn chairs to each show.
Most shows do not offer seating or sitting areas.
(7) Be sure to keep a record of what shows that you attended.
Mistakes do happen sometimes inadvertently with a key-
stroke or handwriting is difficult to read. This can be a quick
way to correct any errors.
Some other info of importance:
(1) The Corvettes For Chip Show is now included in the “Perfect
Attendance” since we are hosting the show. So there is a
total of 4 shows now (Thornton’s, Shrewsbury, Corvettes at
Carlisle and Corvettes For Chip). We encourage all mem-
bers to come out and give us a hand at each of the shows.
Perfect attendance is counted towards the annual banquet
and if you will receive a free meal or not.
(2) If you happen to receive a completed membership applica-
tion packet from a perspective member, be sure that both
pages of the YCCC application (2 pages) and the NCCC appli-
cation (1 page) are present. These can be given to our
Membership Director, Colleen Schaumann. These are im-
portant to ensure that the completed info can be added to
the membership directory, added to the next newsletter
and that the Governor can properly submit it to NCCC with-
out delay.
(3) Please be sure to check out the events page here in the
newsletter for a lot more shows (and points) that you can
participate in. These shows have been submitted to our
Program Director, Mike Boyer, to be added to the schedule.

NCCC PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE April 2018
NCCC President's Message April 2018
Happy Easter! Easter falling on April 1st is special. This doesn’t happen on the 1st very often. Easter sends a message of new
life and new beginnings Spring is here, flowers are blooming, and everyone can start refreshed and new.
Spring has arrived and NCCC members are “ANXIOUS” to take their Corvette out for a drive. This is what we all wait for as a
member of NCCC….to own a Corvette is to DRIVE it someplace and have fun.
Do not get “ANXIOUS”! The weather is warmer as summer is around the corner. I don’t know about you but I can’t wait until I
get in the car and have someplace to go. I am “ANXIOUS” to do this as much as I can. Sometimes things prevent me from doing
what I want. Weather, family commitments, a volunteer job, health, and a handful of other things that I have no control of
make me “ANXIOUS” to do what I want.
Last month I wrote about the “eight day week” with the eighth day being “SOMEDAY”. We all have a “SOMEDAY” in our life
way too many times. “I’ll get to it tomorrow!” We become “ANXIOUS” because we don’t ever get everything done.
You don’t have much choice about the things you have to do. Write down things that need to be done and decide what needs
to be done now, what can wait, and what is really important. Put a check by what you don’t have to do right now. Removing
these items will eliminate a lot of your stress and anxieties.
All of us have experienced situations similar to this. You have a picnic planned, an outdoor car show, a wedding planned out-
side, and the weather man is calling for rain. Can we stop the rain, can we make a difference? What we all need to do is look at
everything in life and don’t worry about the things we cannot control. I think if you try this you will find a peace of mind and
body you have not experienced before. Life is too short to spend the hours and days “ANXIOUS” about what we cannot con-
trol.
Enjoy April as the weather improves, enjoy your friends often, call a family member you haven’t talked to in a while, and give
someone a hug. One of the hardest things to do in life is say “I am sorry”, or “I forgive you”. Don’t wait….”someday” may nev-
er come. And don’t be “ANXIOUS”….tomorrow will be here soon enough!
Attached below is an update from the 2018 Convention Directors for the 2018 NCCC Convention in New Orleans. Don’t make
convention something you plan to do “SOMEDAY”. New Orleans get-together is one you won’t want to miss.
Be safe is all you do, have fun in all you do, and make the most of today! And get out and drive the Corvette!
God Bless you all!
DAVE HEINEMANN
