I have done such terrible things; god won’t forgive me, will he?

The long, lonely, frightening nights Can’t wait for sunlight. Hearing things creeping in the night Whispers in the distance But, there’s nothing, only darkness, The darkness of my soul. And, then the light. The light of the One who created me The Burning Fire that consumes me Not to destroy, but to cleanse my soul. Now, filled with His presence my soul becomes light to the world. (Birdsong, 2016) If you have been in this dark place as described in the above poem, be of good cheer knowing that God, the Father of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob will restore your soul so that you may become light to the world.

No matter what wrongs you have done, God will forgive you. All you have to do is confess unto the Lord. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9-10). You may feel that God will not forgive you, but that is the trick of the adversary (satan). He is the accuser of the brethren. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the devil and satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, now is come salvation, and strength, and the Kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood

of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. (Revelation 12:9-11) You are not alone; the whole world has been deceived by satan. Although, he deceived the world, he has already been defeated. For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16) You can overcome any sin by the Blood of the Lamb who is the Lord Jesus Christ. God loves you and is calling you. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will supp with him, and he with me. (Revelation 3:20) God will forgive you just ask Him. And, as you ask, forgive those who have hurt you.

Healing of the heart through FORGIVENESS

The key to living a full life is having a heart that is filled with faith, hope, and love. And, forgiving those who may not deserve it so that healing of the heart may occur.

Remember, Jesus said, “the thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)

Not being able to forgive allows anger, hatred and bitterness to consume the heart. These fleshly emotions give satan the tools needed to lead us to do his will instead of Gods.

Anger, hatred and bitterness begin with fiery darts from satan. (Ephesians 6:16) Above all, taking the

shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to

quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

We can quench the fiery darts of the wicked (negative feelings and evil words/schemes) by saturating our mind and heart with the word of God and prayer. And take the helmet of salvation, and the

sword of the Spirit, which is the word of

God. (Ephesians 6:17) Pray without

ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this

is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning

you. (1 Thessalonians 5:17-18) Read God’s word and pray daily.

The first step in forgiveness is to go

to God in pray and ask him to

reveal all areas of your heart that

may harbor unforgiveness. God,

the father of Abraham, Isaac and

Jacob is faithful and just, full of

mercy and will forgive and will

cleanse (1 John 1:9).

The second step is to pray with the

power of Christ to release in you

the spirit of forgiveness and

compassion.

Jesus promises that, “whatever you

bind on earth will be bound in

heaven, and whatever you loose on

earth will be loosed in heaven”

(Matthew 18:10). Therefore, the

third step is to pray to bind

bitterness and hardheartedness and

to loose forgiveness and

tenderheartedness.

The fourth step is to be obedient.

God forgives you as you forgive

others. Then came Peter to him, and

said, “Lord, how oft shall my brother

sin against me, and I forgive him? Till

seven times?” Jesus saith unto him, “I

say not unto thee, until seven times:

but, until seventy times seven” (Matthew

18:21-22). But if ye do not forgive,

neither will your Father which is in

heaven forgive your trespasses. (Mark

11:26)

Remember at the Cross, Jesus said,

“Father, forgive them; for they

know not what they do. And they

parted his raiment, and cast lots.

(Luke 23:34) Remember one

value of forgiveness, it releases you

from being a slave to the person

you hate. If you don’t forgive the

person, every time you think of

them and what they did to you,

you will be filled with anger and

rage, and you will be whipped and

beaten emotionally. This can go

on until the end of your life. If you

don’t forgive the person, they may

be free and living a joyful life, but

you will be a slave to them, as well

as to anger, wrath and bitterness.

This anger, wrath and bitterness

you feel will destroy your health.

Not only will you be an emotional

slave to them, your physical health

will be drained. Forgiving a person

frees you emotionally and

physically from the control and

domination of the one who has hurt

you. Forgiving others opens up

God’s forgiveness, blessing, and

anointing upon your life and keeps

you from sending out wrong

messages from your spirit to others

(Virkler, 2001, page 85).

God is Calling You

God longs for your presence, He yearns for you to draw near to him with your heart. You see, Gods’ heart is a heart of love waiting for you to pour your heart into his heart to heal your bruised and broken one. All you have to do is ask the Father for His heart is open wide. The key to the Fathers heart, this heart of God, is prayer.

If you have not given your life to the Lord, the Father of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob, then pray this prayer: Heavenly Father, in Jesus name I repent of my sins and open my heart to let Jesus come inside of me. Jesus, you are my Lord and Savior. I believe You died for my sins and was raised from the dead. Fill me with your Holy Spirit. I will no longer live for myself. I present my body, soul, and spirit to You as a living sacrifice, to serve You in the furtherance of your Kingdom. I will read Your Word daily and obey what I read. I am eternally Yours. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

HOW TO PRAY

The Lord’s Pray

Jesus Christ calls us to pray like this:

Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. They kingdom come, thy

will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And

forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who have trespassed against us. Lead us

not to temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom, and the Power,

and the Glory for ever and ever. (Matthew 6:9-14) Amen
