PLEDGE TO CHRIST
I pledge allegiance to Christ, my Saviour, who shed His blood for me. I declare Jesus Christ my
Lord and Master and by His grace I will serve Him faithfully forever.
PLEDGE TO THE BIBLE
I pledge allegiance to the Bible, God’s Holy Word; I will make it a lamp unto my feet and a light
unto my path. I will hide its words in my heart, that I may not sin against God.
PLEDGE TO OUR COUNTRY
I pledge allegiance to Zimbabwe, my country. May God’s will be done and His
kingdom come in the lives of every citizen, that we may live God-fearingly and
peacefully with one another. I will serve my country and obey it’s laws in
accordance to the word of God.

BEGINNING YOUR YEAR
Your academic year may begin any time through the calendar year.
Diagnostic Testing
At initial commencement of the A.C.E. programme you will be tested for accurate academic

Academic Projection
An individual Academic Projection will be prepared to guide you through your entire education
experience. It will be based on the courses of study offered by Accelerated Christian Education,
The International Certificate of Education, UK, and Lighthouse Christian Academy, USA. The
decision regarding the course of study you will follow will be established between your Supervisor,
Parents and yourself. The final document must be signed off by your parents. You are required to
complete a minimum of 30 PACES a semester.
Subject Material
The programme covers six core subjects which include Mathematics, English, Word Building
(Spelling), Science, Social Studies and Literature (including Creative Writing). There are also more
than 20 options and enrichment subjects for choice, making it the most diverse and comprehensive
curricula available to home educators.
4
The subjects are divided into achievable units called PACEs (Packet of Accelerated Christian
Education). The subjects contain either 5, 6, 10 or 12 PACEs at each academic level. Depending
on the ability of the learner, each PACE unit should take two to three weeks to complete. Every
PACE has specific objectives, goals and built-in assessments designed to ensure mastery of
learning. Mastery learning is essential for educational success. A PACE test is given to you after
each booklet is completed. A minimum of 80% must be scored in order for you to advance with the
next booklet in the PACE series. Scores in Word Building must remain above 90% at all times.
The PACE is the basis of the learning scheme on which additional learning activities, projects,
assignments, resources and enrichment activities are built.
The core curriculum and some elective subjects have audio, DVD or computer explanatory backup.
This complements the PACE work. Yada College has the following back explanation DVDs.

your Supervisor and you will be issued the final test at the open of the following day. Your scores

The Code of Conduct is the set of rules which govern all members of Yada College.
When an infringement of the Code of Conduct occurs, in all cases, an attempt will be made to
establish the true nature of a misdemeanour. The College believes in discipline that is firm, yet just;
which is administered with understanding and with the welfare of the whole community in mind.
Due consideration and discussion will always involve all concerned parties.
The purpose of the Code of Conduct is:
To ensure fair and equal treatment of all learners.
To encourage timely corrective action in the event that a learner’s behaviour or performance
proves to be unsatisfactory or unacceptable.
To ensure that principles of “natural justice” are applied before a learner is punished.
“Natural Justice” is defined as: “Unchanging moral principles common to all people by
virtue of their nature as human beings.” (The standards of behaviour all humans live by)
IGNORANCE OF ANY RULE IS NOT AN EXCUSE
The Code of Conduct, in its entirety, is produced in a separate booklet.
