The Recognition acknowledges airports’ outstanding achievements in Human Resources management, recognizes the contribution of Human Resources management to the successful airport business, and shares best practices in airport management. Winners were selected based on their merits in meeting four judging criteria which include innovation, effectiveness, applicability and proven contribution to airport business. Mr Sulaiman Zainul Abidin, Chief Operating Officer of YACL said, “Human resource management plays a key role in our airport business to drive sustainable operations. This recognition serves as testament to our organization’s excellent work and their purposeful strategies and policies to motivate our staff, recruit new talent and provide meaningful career development and training to our workforce.” ACI is the only global trade association of the world’s airports and its Asia-Pacific Human Resources Excellence Recognition award is a programme initiated by the region in 2013 to promote professional excellence in airport HR management.

Yangon Aerodrome Company Limited (“YACL”) was awarded the Bronze Recognition at the ACI Asia-
Pacific Human Resources Excellence Recognition 2016 in Gold Coast Australia on 19 April 2016.
