One Tool - Four Functions
Excavating, cutting, crushing and mixing in one
operation - all this is possible with the Cutter-Bucket
Combination. The Cutter-Bucket was developed by
TEREX | Schaeff in cooperation with U.T.S. Umwelt-
und Technologie-Service GmbH, Stuttgart.
Typical areas of application
• In the trench as cutter, bucket and ground
stabilizer
• On fl at terrain as cutter and ground stabilizer
• On the heap as recycling unit
Cutter-Bucket - proven in road work and trenching
Combining the proven and tested with the innova-
tive - the Cutter-Bucket is a further development of
the Hydraulic Cutting Unit by TEREX | Schaeff. The
Cutting Unit has been equipped with an additional
U.T.S. Bucket System. The special strength of the
Cutter-Bucket Combination has been demonstrated
so far especially in road and pipeline construction.
The combination allows excavating the softer mate-
rial with the Cutter-Bucket; more solid rocks can be
cut the same time with the integrated cutter. Another
advantage: The grinding action of the cutter prevents the bucket
from becoming jammed - even in deep trenches. In a third step,
the material picked up with the bucket can be crushed directly in
the trench. The bucket thereby acts as a chute for the excavated
material. The cutter serves as a breaker or coarse grinding tool. Af-
ter crushing, the prepared material is ready for immediate reuse on
site. Excess material requiring removal can easily be loaded with the
Cutter-Bucket.
Many variations - Including level terrain applications
Cutting on level terrain is also possible with the Cutter-Bucket. The
bucket assumes the guide function and sets the depth for the cut-
ting operation. Cutting vibration is thereby largely reduced and the
carrier device is exposed to less strain.The cut, fi ne-grain material
can be picked up with the bucket and reused on site or loaded
for transport. With the help of the integrated grinding unit, the cut
material can also be mixed with additional excavated material and
reused as needed.
Cutter-Bucket - There is not better way to handling mounds
The Cutter-Bucket-Combination can also be used at recycling lo-
cations to prepare and crush concrete, asphalt and stony ground
material. The Mixing-Cutter-Bucket was also developed as a de-
vice especially for ground preparation and ground conditioning. The
Mixing-Cutter-Bucket WS60-MFL1000 is equipped with a feeding

from practical experience and patent-protected in many countries
worldwide, for example:

The sophisticated modular system makes our patented system also

system on the Cutter-Bucket allowing absorbent materials such as
lime or additives to be measured into the mixing chamber. The mate-
rial picked up by the bucket is crushed by the grinding unit. The addi-
tives are mixed in at the same time and processed into a homogenous
ground material. A switchable hydraulic motor with two cutting speeds
ensures optimal operation of the Mixing-Cutter-Bucket. Especially ef-
fective: Powerful cutting and crushing at a low speed and high torque.
Mixing, by comparison, is performed at a high speed of the cutting
drum and reduced torque.
It pays off - Saving time and money
Not only the performance but also the economic advantages of the
Cutter-Bucket are convincing: There is no need to change devices
or tools; intermediate storage is not necessary, material supply and
dumping are reduced, transport distances are avoided.

Increasing the productivity and capital ROI of its customers has always highest priority at TEREX.
The economic benefi ts of the Cutter-Bucket are especially convincing. There is no need to change devices or tools; intermedi-
ate storage is not necessary, material supply and dumping are reduced, transport distances are avoided.
