The WP4086 Condition Monitoring SystemThe WP4086 Condition Monitoring System is used for vibration analysis. It surveys predetermined critical vibration levels. The frequency range is 0.1-5000 Hz and the vibration range 0.01-5.000 g. When using 786A ICP accelerometer, the ranges are up to 10,000 Hz and 15 g.

The module is used for permanent surveillance of low and high frequency vibrations in wind turbines and other applications.

The measurement of vibrations is performed by means of up to 8 external accelerometers. The real-time measurement of vibrations is controlled by a flexible measurement task scheduler, which can be individually configured with time and fre-quency domain calculations.

If the WP4086 is connected via communication to a Mita-Teknik controller it is possible to receive wind turbine real-time data which is stored with the vibration characteristics. The WP4086 provides permanent surveillance using an internal alarm or warning level. The alarm and warning level as well as the delay time can be set by the user.

The alarm is intended to operate a remote warning system through the communication channel. The alarm can also be used to shut down the wind turbine.

The alarm and warning circuit have two additional potential free relay outputs for communication with other related controller systems.

The WP4084 Vibration AnalyserThe WP4084 Vibration Analyser is used for survey-ing vibrations in up to 2 directions. It surveys that critical vibration levels are not exceeded. The fre-quency range is of 0.1-5.0 Hz and vibration range 0.01 g to 0.300 g.

Used for permanent surveillance of low frequency vibrations in wind turbines and other applications. The measurement of vibrations is done by means of one or two accelerometers mounted in the WP4084.

Build-upWith two accelerometers it is possible to measure vibrations in x and y direction. With one accelero-meter in the x direction, one or two frequencies can be monitored. The WP4084 provides perma-nent surveillance using an internal alarm level. The alarm level and the delay time can be set by the user.

The measurement of vibrations is done by means in the vibration level. The alarm circuit has potential free relay outputs.

The alarm is intended to operate a remote warn-ing system and can also be used to shutdown the monitored process. The internal watchdog surveys the power supply, cable ruptures and accelerometer test function.

The accelerometer self test is automatically ex-ecuted every hour. The PC is used for parameter setup by means of a PC program supplied by us. The PC is useful during installation and periodic maintenance if there is no permanent communica-tion to a main controller. The PC program makes it possible to adjust: Center frequency Fo, bandwidth BW, alarm level, delay time and relay function.

If the WP4084 is connected via communication to one of our controllers the adjustment will be done via the controller. Hereby, it is possible to define a lower warning level for preparing the next maintanceof the monitored process.

External Accelerometer for the WP4086 •condition monitor

Designed for easy mounting•

The WP4088 AccelerometerIt is important that the corresponding measure-ment equipment is epuipped with a real analog differential input.

Hardware Compensation ValuesDue to the accelerometer internal are AC coupled, with a build-in highpass filter, the signal respons is not linear below 1 Hz. The highpass filter have a cut-off frequency on 0.1 Hz. The following con-pensation factors have to be integrated into the measuring unit.

Compensation Factor: 0.1 - 1.0 HzThe conpensation curve will follow a normal 1 pole high pass filter curve with a cut off frequency of 0.1 Hz.
